After reading through all the new colour stories I am quite relieved. There are a few items I want but not a crazy amount like last year.

I think I hit rock bottom of my addiction when I found three LE products from fall that I "had to have" still in there boxes.

I need to be much pickier this year.

I'm curious: Are you wearing make up every day?

Yeah, I just cleaned out a big chunk of my stash (including backups) by selling on Specktra or giving to my sister/friends/relatives and I feel so much relief! I need to be more selective this year.

I actually wear makeup pretty often for work, happy hour, out with friends, etc...so now I am putting a lot of new products into rotation.

Mac Guy, do you know anything about the semi-permanent MES? Don't these usually come out in February?

I'll post the info when I have it available. Patience please.

I love getting rid of what I'm not using. I really did try to be selective last year, but I ended up buying a couple of colours that weren't really quite right for me in an effort to stretch out of my comfort zone. Lesson learned - after 30 years of wearing makeup, I already KNOW what colours look good on me. No real need to try to incorporate the ones that aren't right.

The nice thing is that with two daughters and their tribes, it's never hard to find someone who will use a colour or finish I'm not. Still, I'd rather not buy them in the first place if I can help it.

I'm with you! Also grateful that a lot of the new color stories aren't causing my wishlists to skyrocket. I've got some saving to do for upcoming trips!

EXACTLY! I'm like that, too. It doesn't matter if it's new or old, I know what looks good and what doesn't!

I also agree. One of my best friends is a makeup fiend too, so I can give it to her or my sister, who also likes makeup. I have other friends that will be glad to get some products and anything else I'll just sell or donate to a local charity. Works every time

I've updated more threads with color stories. Prepare yourself for a very expensive month of April.

Thank you mac-guy for all the info you have provided us :)

Most of the things I want will be in April so I need to start saving up now! lol

I'm still reading and digesting all the news... I really hope this year I can try the extra dimension formula, colours from last year were not new in my stash so I skipped all of them... (or, in Superb's case... it was really not suiting my skin... sadly because I still think it's gorgeous...)

That makes sense.

Being more selective can also be fun. A well edited collection is so much more enjoyable and special. The hard part is just sticking to the plan.
I've heard you say that before and wish I would have listened. I'm a HUGE sucker for LE, always afraid I'll be missing out. Hopefully in 2013 I can stop with that and love all that I have.
