So far, I feel like there's a lot I can already dupe from my collection, like the blushes. I'm kind of interested in Boyfriend Stealer, but honestly, I was more interested when I thought it was a lustre finish. I'm not crazy about Cremesheens. I have fewer shades that are deep and dark but still have a touch of sheerness to them. We'll see how it looks when it lands. There is no way I'm buying anything from this collection until I've had the chance to get swatches for myself, so if it sells out before I have the chance to do that, I'm willing to accept the loss. Given the amount of makeup I have, I'm trying to be very strict with myself in terms of getting things that are very close to items I already have. I don't want to have to move to a larger place to accommodate my makeup collection...

same here... plus the new collex trump pretty packaging.... which, I love, don't get me wrong. Just getting tired of the price increases.

Ok, but that's still cute I think:) I would love to buy makeup for birthdays, but nobody I know would like that as a gift as far as I'm aware. I might get my mom something, because she was thinking about it for a party that we are going to have at the end of july. My grandparents will celebrate that they have been married for 60 years then!
Sixty years? That's wonderful. It's not often that people reach that milestone. :)

I wouldn't buy most people makeup, but I know my daughters well enough to know they'll like this. It will be a big treat for my little daughter (11).

Yes that is indeed a really long time and I'm really happy I can still see them each week:)

I'm sure she'll love it! The cute packaging will be loved even more by a girl her age.

So the purple quad...the reason why I'd get it is for the two purple shadows. I have plenty of the other two darker colors. In your opinion, Is wanting two colors out of four warrant a purchase?

I wouldn't, unless they really were unusual shades. These seem dupable. I'd rather buy two pro pans of similar shades and stick them in a palette.

At $44, nope. You can find dupes and once you get to blending, the look all becomes the same anyway.

My thoughts as well. I'm working on making wiser decisions when it comes to makeup purchases. If I can get the same look from something I already have, I fight the urge to buy what's new and use what I have.

Those purples certainly look nice, but also keep in mind we've got other collections with lots of shadows coming out. Would you be kicking yourself if there were great purples in that Doublelux collection or in Fashion Sets, for example?

For me, it's usually the toss up between liking a group of colors vs. wanting to wait for new formulas - I'm a thrill seeker and mostly just go for the new formulas!

I literally own 2 MAC quads, 1 holiday shadow set and 1 of the Carine compacts - that's it.

All that being said, I'm still very curious about the purple set in this collection, but I'm going to wait to see it in person for sure. If only one or two of the colors really rock my world or are very different from what I already have, it's a no buy for me.

Wow.

I must say that despite being an Archie's comic freak as a kid, and having every single record that came on the back of Post cereal (yep, and they really played music too), I thought I was going to go nuts over this collex, but I just can not see the point. Too little $ and too many similar colors from previous collex.

The packaging is cute, for sure, but I guess I will be passing on this one like so many others the last few months.

They are playing the Archies TV show on one of the TV stations and it is kind of funny to see it and then seen this collection coming out so my daughter knows about who the Archies are and she is a bit excited about it.

There is a lot of hype around this quad due to fashion week. :)
That's right. I forgot about that. Based on the hype, Run Run Ron looked like it was going to be a brighter blue; instead its navy. I think the Heroine eyeshadow will be more in the range of what I am looking for.

I am a little dissapointed in the quad colors as I wanted to get one from the collection because I like how this particular style of palette reminds me of a watercolor paint set. I am inspired by the sets though. Looking in my stash to find ways to dupe them.
