I would like to know the same thing. And I would like to see swatches of that gloss and Veronica's Black Poodle pigment.
Do you have the opportunity to go to a store? Most store, if not all, have the collection in the backroom. After all, it launches in just a few days. Happy swatching.

No, we don't have a MAC store here in Finland, just 2 counters which are 200 - 300km's away from where I live.

^ Yeah, and no backrooms. And this collection is coming in March only which reminds me that today is a week later than a week ago and we still have NO APRES CHIC!

Who's splurging on the accessories?
I really don't want to but if I see that the mirror is adorable beyond all words I may have to...

Things I'm pretty sure just waiting on swatches:
Ronnie Red
Daddys Little Girl
Cream Soda
Prom Princess
Strawberry Malt
Mall Madness
Veronicas and Bettys Pearmattes

Obviously this could all change when I see swatches, hah!

It's probably Instagram distorting the colour. VGN2 looks pretty strange too.
As much as I love Instagram for its square vintage design, it's no bueno for any swatches. All colors are off because of fancy filters. You either get neon colors, washed out colors, or tints that distort the original color.

The filters are optional so i dont understand why people feel the need to filter swatches lol

My list for this collection is just DLG l/s and all the blushes and pearlmattes. I have no idea why I need so much blush (especially with all the upcoming amazing collections), but I want them :(
I just finished a placement in psychiatry, and it was entertaining to see that I have all the signs of addiction and also withdrawal when it comes to MAC. Oops!

I really don't care for this packaging (for myself), so I'm going to pass on Betty's Pearlmatte given that there are others coming this spring. My list is down to a lippie (still hoping to see swatches) and perhaps quad for my eldest and a Betty l/g for my little daughter, presuming they don't sell out all but immediately. I don't stalk so if I get them, I get them.

Congrats on finishing the placement. I'm almost done with mine. I'm quite sure most of us show those signs so you're not alone

I also don't seem able to skip blushes, can anyone tell me the special trick to do so?

I bought a lot of blush last year too. What's greatly slowed my buying of late is the realization that I likely already have something extremely similar to whatever the New Best Thing is. I stepped outside my comfort zone to buy a different colour family a couple of times last year and I ended up giving both products away (Star Quality and Dolce Vita). I'm still willing to buy a blush I fall in love with as long as it isn't very similar to something in my stash, but that's becoming much less frequent. I like having a smaller (by Specktra standards - I have far more makeup than most women) collection and know that everything in it gets used.

I keep an Excel spreadsheet of everything I have sorted by type. When I'm thinking of getting something new, I always scan that first. That often makes me realize that the item I'm looking at wouldn't be unique and I pass.

The problem is I know I have something similar, but still want it:p I think it's great how you're able to restrain so many products and be happy with what you have. I also think it's cute that you get things for your girls and their friends:)

My daughters' birthdays are in February and March respectively and they both like Archie, so this is good timing. The little one doesn't wear makeup yet except when she performs (she's a competitive skater), but the light peach gloss will be fine for her.

I don't buy things for their friends deliberately - but that's sometimes where my buying mistakes end up. ;)

Ok, but that's still cute I think:) I would love to buy makeup for birthdays, but nobody I know would like that as a gift as far as I'm aware. I might get my mom something, because she was thinking about it for a party that we are going to have at the end of july. My grandparents will celebrate that they have been married for 60 years then!
