MAC Fashion Sets 2013 Collection (April 2013)

Yes I hope it's a better version of Atlantic Blue.

I immediately thought of atlantic blue when i saw the description! Hopefully it matches heroine exactly and the colour description is a fluke.

I still am searching for a perfect cobalt blue. The one in the last Urban Decay book of shadows was really perfect, but there was no way I was buying all of that just for one color.

Edit: Oh, I mean that Vice one from holiday….lol, I haven't followed UD in many years, but I did check that one out in person and was dying over the blue.

Have you looked into Sugarpill? They have this awesome colour Velocity. It's a cobalt blue and has a bit of shimmer, but not as much as a veluxe pearl.

I prefer blue to purple for eyeshadows, so I would rather have the cobalt.

Thanks for the tip - I do really want MATTE MATTE MATTE cobalt. There were a few other colors that were nice in that UD palette…I still might break down and get it. I'm not the big UD fan I was in the 90's when their stuff was the craziest in town.

I also liked the UD cobalt, because it was matte, but I'm not a huge UD fan either. I just feel like their shadows blend too easy and dissapear or end up too far out. I also have a cobalt from MUFE, but it's not as vibrant as the UD. It's number 159 I believe. I really like that shade too.

MAC mattes can certainly be hit or miss too, though when they're good, I'm very happy with them. One would hope that with a collection like this, they'd make sure it was high quality, but you never know…...

That's true I don't like all Mac mattes either. I'll cross my fingers that the mattes in this collection are awesome!

yay!! i already have heroine but id love a gloss and liner for it! also excited about embrace me, ill probably get all lippies for it! so glad people will get a chance to grab heroine

This is one of those rare times when I want 2 of every l/s and l/g... but I must limit myself to one of each as I try not to buy any BU unless repromoted in a later collection like CYY, Party Parrot, Pink Pigeon, etc. (because then I would know how much I've actually used/loved the product).

I am so tempted to get 2 Embrace Me l/s and l/g because I know I love the lip pencil! So happy to finally get to try Heroine, as I regret skipping this one before. I can't wait to see what Ablaze and Silly look like. Oh, MAC and their vague descriptions!

i actually was so so about this collection embrace me lipstick was the only color that stood out everything else was ok. i wasn't that impressed with heroine lip pencil either with one swipe it looks like magenta it took about 3 wipes to get the color to look close to the lipstick color

silly reminded me a lot of impassioned but with a touch more pink and more of a cremesheen finish to it
ablaze was nice it was kinda vegas volty to me :/
