MAC x Archie's Girls (Betty & Veronica) Collection Discussion (February 2013)

      The comic books are still available at the supermarkets. I see them all the time at Publix by the magazine section at the check-out lines. I have been tempted to pick up a few recently myself but I resisted the urge thus far!!!! I have read enough to last a lifetime

I was looking at the one she has on her site and it looks MAC specific, so that's the one I NEED, lol, to take me back to my pre teen days reading them for hours on the couch, lol. I'm wondering if MAC had a comic created like they did for Wonder Woman. I actually have a stash of Archie comic books in my basement. I need to go and pull them out to see if they still have the same effect.

For me its the other way round. I'm definitely getting Shell Pearl (unless I miss it, in which case I'll head for the nearest open window) and I already have PiP (plus a BU on the way!) so I can remove both Pearlmattes off my wishlist.

Technically they're not even Pearlmattes are they? I thought a Pearlmatte was a different sort of product alltogether. Not a BP with a bit of blush shoved in it.

Well you've got a point there... But I prefer the look of the Pearlmatte. If the effect is similar, I'm going with Flatter me.

They sell them everywhere, Barnes and Noble, Target, various markets, there's an app too I believe.

I've been on a no spending freeze since Glamourdaze so I've been avoiding Specktra so I dont get any ideas. haha... but I looked at the swatches just now. I remember that I didn't want anything because I really am not a fan of the packaging... I know.. I'm horrible. But its true... and yes... I totally judge books by their covers (but thats ok too since I work in book publishing... hehe)

I'm super surprised that I'm going to get anything at all... but I think I'm gonna get Prom Princess... and thats it. I keep looking at the lippies and while they are pretty I just cant do it. Here's to hoping I wont regret it, or see it and change my mind (I think my pocketbook wont be happy if I do that).

Welp. After seeing Karen's swatches I'm down to Magic Spells pigment, Lucky in Love pigment and Betty Bright. I'm feeling meh about this now. Shell pearl is exciting but I want the YotS one. I dig the Ronnie quad but it's dupeable and I only really like the rich purple anyway. Ronnie's piggies are also a bit disappointing but Magic Spells is a maybe. Teal and it's siren call and all that

I think a couple years ago I would have gone nuts over this collex but now these shades are less unique to me.

I actually have a stash of Archie comic books in my basement. I need to go and pull them out to see if they still have the same effect.

I doubt that they will still have the same effect as they did during the good ole innocent days. The double digest ones were actually the best IMO!!! I have shelves laden with books that I always planned on re-reading however I never do. I didn't kno about the Wonder Woman specific comics. Missed out on those!

I'm trying to figure out what lipgloss out of summer sweetheart and kiss don't tell go with Betty bright. Also can you check out Betty's flatter me pearl matte. If its more like a blush I don't want to waste money. I'm NC 35-40. Thank you!
