There is a thread started for the foundation. Wondering if the pots are the paint pots already out, and the lip is probably from the Mineralize collection (permanent). All copyrights go to MAC COSMETICS TUMBLR.
Time has changed. There is a shift from classy actresses to hip 'n new starlets. I don't mind that fact, especially as the consumer pool for MAC gets younger and younger (18-25), whereas the more mature generation (30+) eventually wanders off to other brands that are easier to keep up with, i.e. less social media orientated and less LE focused. After all, anticipating a collection and hunting down strictly limited products epitomizes MAC in 2013. Estee Lauder has enough other brands to keep other consumers entertained who don't want to be part of the LE circle (or just can't be bothered with LE). Thus, new "idols," (Williams, Nikki, Gaga & Co are just more appropriate than old Hollywood style.
What I miss, however, are those high quality mini brush sets and the fancy packaging that came out with the beauty icons.
Do you want to start a new thread for 2013? The old one is well old... We can list everything and maybe do updates?I started one already for 2013! I have decided to become way more selective. I even bought 2 lippies last night and canceled them after I realized I didn't need the lipsticks. I don't have a big stash by any means, but more than the average girl. I was one that was never really into Mac (because I loved Sephora) until a couple years ago, and I never bought limited edition items except maybe one or two items. I want to get back to those days where I am not looking for the next collection fix.
Also I totally ordered some lippies online from MAC and canceled them right after also!I started one already for 2013! I have decided to become way more selective. I love Mac and I am 40+.This makes total sense. Or you get those 40 something ladies who don't want to look or act their age, who develop a MAC addiction later in their makeup life, and they get a thrill from the new, LE excitement....and love keeping in touch with the new, current celebs of today so their teens don't call them old!! I know this type of MAC addict all too well....they are the worst!!!LOL
I love Mac and I am 40+.I don't like rules when it comes to makeup. Plus I am young at heart : )
You must be because I thought you were in your late twenties based on your avatar!!I love Mac and I am 40+.This makes total sense. There's no reason not to enjoy MAC post 40. There are some products I choose not to wear now, but there were products I chose not to wear at 18. My look has changed over the years and I'm no longer as fond of the strong metallics I wore in my teens and early 20s (I think I used buckets of gold and bronze powders and tubes of frosty lippies), but I'm still every bit as fond of makeup.
I don't buy into 'rules' (whether they're clothing, makeup or hair related), but I do think that what looks best on us evolves over time. I certainly don't dress like my own mother, but neither do I dress like my daughter. I think women of all ages are beautiful and that youth isn't what defines beauty. What I don't think is attractive is when someone clings to a style that no longer works for them; it usually just makes them look older. Who wants to stick with one look anyway? I like mixing things up.
Forty-something isn't old. Not by a long shot.

Amen to that.Sing it sister. I too am 40+, and I love makeup, always have always will. I'm young at heart and people don't believe me when I tell them I'm in my 40's. I feel some 40+ look a lot better than their younger counterparts and I do not think makeup should have some age limit. Everyone deserves to want to look & feel their best at any age. Same with long hair. I hate when I hear people say women in their 40's shouldn't have long hair. I do and that's MY choice not anyone else's.
I did a search and the Project Pan threads are pretty old. The ladies in MAC Chat Europe have started one called Use it Up. Should we join that one, to have fewer threads, or start our own?Do you want to start a new thread for 2013? The old one is well old... We can list everything and maybe do updates?
I started this month. I had so many lipsticks and eye makeup I haven't been using.Anyone want to start Project Pan? =x
I haven't tried enough NYX products to have any opinion, other than that they are very affordable.Wow. Sorry that happened to you. Vanilla Sky is a NYX shadow.
I was reorganizing my much too large makeup collection last night and found an old creamy eye shadow pencil that looks a little like that hot pink eye, Lancôme Le Crayon Creme EyeColour in Iced Lilac - not sure when it was from, maybe the 80s. It's intense fuchsia with cool blue duochrome iridescence. It was in my museumized box, but i moved it into my active cool pink-and-cool blue box after smelling and testing it..
I found this link which talks about a MAC Nuance Collection?
