I'm still working on it. I got Fireside (deep plum with green duochrome), Frost at Midnight (dark blue violet), and Silver Birch (grey with peach veining). I knew that FS and FaM were quite dark. But the SB i ended up with was also dark - I can only hope that as i work my way through it it will get lighter. Because of the shape of my eyelids (i'm over 60 and gravity is taking its toll) i rarely wear dark eyeshadows on my lids, so i'm working on ways to wear them that don't make me look like i missed 3 nights' sleep.
The PPs (Pressed Pigments) are working pretty well to lighten and brighten: Sweet Acting on my lid with Fireside in the crease, or Amethyst on the lid with FaM in the crease.
But I'm a little sad because i love the unpredictable colors that come from swirly MESs, and in the crease they don't get to be on display enough. I may need to try them on the lid with a light shimmery liner. I have Let's Skate PP (Paint Pot) which should work with Fireside, Catch My Eye Fluidline may work with Silver Birch, and i can try Heirloom Eye Kohl with FaM. I may need to add something non-shimmery just above my crease - i don't use highlighter under my brows any more because i'm getting to feel like it's a cliché and my skin care products make them light reflective enough.
My local MAC has the new Paint Pots in, so i'm going to test them tomorrow or Sunday.
