Yes! I totally remember Jem and the Holograms. I had some of the dolls. It sucked that my Barbie clothes didn't fit them b/c they were larger.

They are both completely different products. I've described them both in detail, as well as compared them to MSFs and EDSFs in one of the 3 corresponding threads. Just remember. The PMs will not act as a highlight. They're meant for allover.

That would be really awesome, although collectors editions were just made of some of the Jem dolls, and they are/were 100 bucks a pop! Would have loved to have one, but that's kind of crazy!

Glad I didn't miss out and had a goodnights rest....when Marilyn launched for Nordstroms it was like 1pm pst so it randomly came and on Mac like morning sleeping hours... Strength came out in the evening so it really does vary.

Anyone getting SP instead of Flatter me or vice versa? Reasons please!!

I'm foregoing getting lipstick backups so I can get both Shell Pearl and Flatter Me. Erine's thoughts on the two products helped me decide to get them. lol
I am really getting into contouring and highlighting right now and I want to see how Shell Pearl looks. I'm getting Flatter Me mostly on a collector's whim. And I figured MAC constantly brings out alot of new and exciting lipstick colors for us to love and get excited about AND there are so many permanents that get overlooked because of all the LEs. I don't think I need LE backups for now..

I agree when I use floral fantasy from the Vera collection as an all over face powder I can look red all over my face. It's very pigmented.

No problem! I'm NC40 right now and pretty yellow-toned. Just so you know, this picture isn't as color accurate as I would like. I took it with yellow incandescent light as my light source, so I had to mess with the white balance a little bit for everything to show up more color accurate. Summer Sweetheart and Kiss and Don't Tell are little bit more orange than they appear in real life.

I agree. I'm NC 30-35 and the Vera powders do work on me as a blush as well. I even dip the side of my contour brush into just the shimmery outer layer and use as a highlight. When the PM's are done right, they really are a very diverse product! So I'm getting one to play with and hopefully fall in love with!

Great to hear! I'm purchasing them mainly as a blush, so this is fab news. I'm NW15, so I'm anticipating no problem with that plan.

So, the Shell pearl in the YOT is different than the pearlmatte in Archie's collection?

I was looking back in the WOC: Give Me Liberty of London thread and a few ladies NC 42-45 liked Shell Pearl BP as an allover powder for a subtle peachy gold glow. There are also a few Youtube videos but not any great close ups of the product on skin.

Erine, do you think Shell Pearl from YotS is a good choice as an allover glow for us tan/brown girls?
