Fracas looks so pretty on you elegant. I haven't worn it yet. I'm working my way through a ton of nail polish.

I picked up some discontinued colors from Saks.com last week. Gondola, Intermezzo, Imperial, Forbidden, Pulsion, Jade Rose, and the Mat Top Coat. I also got Imprevu blush and Kaska Beige quad.

hey lovelies, just want to say, this thread is soo fun and awesome!!!! I can never ever have conversations like this elsewhere, people always think I am mad coz a red lipstick is a red lipstick to them.BUT for the ladies and gents here, every lippie has its own nuance and as a collective bunch, we get gaga over colours!! ESPECIALLY if its from Chanel!! hahahahha, I am so giggly-happy right now over this.

Talking makeup with other people who get it is so much fun. I've met some wonderful people through this board.

albatross is not as fine and it is a white gold base with gold shimmer. The Chanel one is a light pink base that is super finely milled with a gold sheen. Shimmer vs. Sheen. Albatross looks frostier and more noticeable. Its beautiful but not as lovely glow as the Chanel. Hth!

i do not like albatross it's just too golden and i have hard time with application i always have to be careful not to overdo it

Hmm, I am going to check and get back to you...I guess for me, it is the gold/pink undertone that seems to work with my light oliveish skin/rosy cheek complexion...I find Guerlains hightlighters, and some nars are too yellowish on me...this one somehow just makes my skin more....lovely. It is so finely milled too that it blends in without being too glittery....

That does sound lovely... And your skin tone sounds similar to mine, minus the rosy cheeks. Maybe I'll check it out

Not elegant, but I have KB and Imprevu. Not a fan of KB because it makes me look sick and tired. I'm sure it works on other people and they like it. Love Imprevu, I like to pair it with a light pink blush.

Hi Bis!  Glad you got the quad.  I have worn it countless times since I got it and love it! Hi MissQQ   do you think you will end up getting the quad?  I haven't gotten the pink RAV yet.  The color looks gorgeous.  I was afraid it would dry my lips out a little, but I think I read that it is more moisturizing than some of the other velvets??

Wore the quad over a purple base and loved the results, really happy I got it, lovely finish Great to hear you like it as well, leave it to Chanel to come up with a gorgeous neutral colour combination.

bis - I didn't buy the pink RAV. It looks bright and pigmented to me. Or are you refering to Fantasque RA? Michelle - I have not bought the quad yet. I'm just more into pink lipsticks and blushes at the moment, so I'm not in a hurry to get a new eyeshadow palette. I have splitting nails too, my nails are so weak and brittle. I use OPI matte envy, recommended by bis, and it makes my nails stronger. Lately with the dry weather, increased hand washing, and laziness in applying a fresh coat, I have a few fingernails that have split again.

Great to hear it's working for you Too bad it only works as long as you apply it though.

No worries. I received both of them just now. I haven't tried them yet, but they both look pretty in their pans. I'll play with them later. Kaska Beige reminds me of a more brown Raffinement. Imprevu is technically my first Chanel blush since I haven't picked up Malice yet. Are Chane blushes scented? It has a pretty strong fragrance when i opened it. It doesn't look like it has been messed with. The perfume smell just threw me off. None of my NARS or La Femme blushes have such a strong perfumed scent.
