Hi, all!

First time poster, longtime lurker! This is the first MAC collection that I've literally slept on top of my laptop waiting for, lol. I'm a hardcore Archie nerd (my name is actually in a Jughead Double Digest from the early 90s for winning an Archie art contest, lol)!

Thankfully, I really love most of these products, so I wouldn't be spending so much on just packaging… who am I kidding, I'd be buying it regardless!

Anyway, decided to post because I've been keeping up with you late-nighters, and I was reading how many of you have been contacting MAC and pulling as much info as possible as to when this would release. I kinda felt like a weasel, leeching off of all of this info, so I wanted to at least introduce myself so I can properly thank you all for keeping me (and others) updated - and very much entertained! :)

I'll be refreshing with the rest of you, and while I doubt I'll be the first one to see the collection online, I'll make sure to post when I do see it, just in case. :)

Awws. Even if my boyfriend rolls his eyes at my growing makeup collection, he still is the worst enabler and says just get both or get them all.
Haha that's exactly like my husband when I ask him what one should I get....he basically says both because it'll make me shut up about it haha

Welcome to the madness dollihaze! I for one just had my bf put a Pepsi in the fridge for when I get home around midnight. It's been torture not being able to stalk at work!

It's funny that I keep checking this thread to see if it launched yet or not because I put in a pre-sale last week and will be getting my stuff on February 7th when it launches in-store. I think it's because I was sporadically checking the Strength thread and logged on when it launched online and made a last-minute decision to buy something from that collection. I guess I can't help wanting to be part of the excitement! Hahaha

Hmmm...I disagree. I have quite a few BP's that I use all over (especially Forever Marilyn) It's always been my impression (from both online and MUA) that the BP's could be used all over. Oh well...Maybe I'm just not as strict in my makeup rules!
It's not a rule. It's just far too much shimmer (the shimmer BPs) for ALL over the face. Just my opinion as a makeup artist. :dunno:

Im really going to buckle down and do a no buy though. I really need to, my collection is sprawling out of control.

I need to use up what I have, shop the stash!
It's just insane how much money we spend on our precious MAC haha, I don't even want to know how much i've spent over the years *cringe*

I just gave some 24/7 liners to a friend because I had so many eyeliners they would'nt fit in my storage glass for them. I plan to give her some more
goodies cause I just have too much not going into rotation.

So I finally saw the Pearlmattes today, I was not super excited when I saw them, my reaction was just kinda ehhh. Veronica's Blush is pretty but it's reminding
me abit of Barbie Loves Mac Blossom BP I think it was called? And a slightly of Snowglobe, without the pink hearts. I felt the pigmentation was'nt as buttery
and lush as I was imagining they would be.

Daddy's Little Girl will be so popular, I swatched it on my hand yet again it's super bright pinky purple very nice pigmentation and texture. It kinda reminds
me of an orchid, the vibrant purpley pink shade.

What do you think of the Betty Pearlmatte? I wasn't planning on getting Girl next door but you are really making me think! It sounds like it isn't anything like outrageously fun. I can go for a brightish purple instead of bright pink.

Has anybody seen the Betty pigments? In some swatches I've seen, they look almost white, and I want to make sure that they aren't too pale. Also is the Veronica palette as bad as some people are describing it? Chalky and patchy?

Hey there!

If I remember correctly, readers were encouraged to recreate a classic Archie moment, and I - being so original - chose the ever popular Archie/Betty/Veronica sharing a soda image and I *think* I tried to be cool and use the pointillism technique! We had to wait for the next Double Digest to see who won, and my name was there! Yay! I also got a copy of Archie Comics: Best of the 40s (foreword by Stephen King, which made it all the more cooler).

I'm sure that Double Digest is at home covered in stains and water damage from being read in the tub so much. :)

My list is pretty long, but there are definitely things I want more than others. I definitely want Betty Bright, Daddy's Little Girl, Kiss & Don't Tell, Strawberry Malt and the Flatter Me PM (I'm not hip with the abbreviations yet!). Debating on the Caramel Sundae quad and Girl Next Door (I don't own ANY super light pinks like that).

I don't think the Betty Pigments will be as light in appearance on lighter skin. I would like to see them swatched on NC15-25 skin though!!! I am NW15, and haven't seen any swatches on fair skin...well besides beautyzine...but that wasn't that much of the collection.

I was gonna do the green, but I'm passing. First time I've ever passed on pigments. I'm so proud of myself!
