I think for the MM collection it released a few days prior. Then everything started saying sold out. Shortly after, if I remember correctly, the collection went off of pro and they released it at the same time once again like 2 days later...which sold out super fast. I'm not 100% sure but I remember a lot of us regular gals started panicking. Lol

Marilyn was at least a few days on Pro before it hit the regular site.
In the past, Pro releases a week earlier than the regular site. Sometimes it is just a few days apart, but normally it's a full week. You can never tell.

Yeah...That is sort of my fear right now. I (luckily) was able to do a pre-order for MM but when I fell in love with a couple of the items I decided to check out the online release. It was very similar to this (I think it was released around 3am pacific time) and by the time it was open to regular folks, everything I wanted was already sold out!
If that happens with this collection I won't be that upset (just because I was so in love with the Marilyn collection, and love her!) but I will for sure be seriously frustrated. I know a lot of the stuff I want in this collection is pretty easily dupeable, and I don't care that much about the packaging. I just have been so frustrated at MAC lately for the way they handle these releases. Obviously they know that making things in short supply makes them more desirable to collectors...but wouldn't it make sense to make more and sell more? I mean, they don't profit from any of that garbage on Ebay...
The silver lining is that if it does sell out online, we still have Nordstroms, Macy's, Belk, Bloomingdales...all kinds of other places to get it from.
I just really need to bite the bullet and get a PRO membership...

I'm thinking of doing just that. I didn't want to wait to order everything else and risk my stuff selling out, but I also don't want to place an order of just pearlmattes whenever they do come out. I already paid extra for 2nd day shipping.
