I only got that Veronica blush too. I almost didn't get anything. I already have pigments that look like the Veronica pigments, have enough lipsticks, and nothing was enough to justify me buying much of anything. I love the Archie's comics though so I really wanted to get something with the character on the packaging. I ended up ordering the Veronica blush even though the swatches are reminding me an awful lot of the pink part of the Vintage Grape Ombre blush. I barely wear the sh*t I have now but I just HAD to get something with the Archie's character on it. Sad.
Edit: I'm waiting for Baking Beauties now. I only want Lavender Whip l/s and the Eclair PP.

I ordered amongst a few other things the Young Hearts Mirror as well as the Flatter Me PP with that exact thought in mind. I know I will get a lot of use from the mirror however the pearlmatte is a whole 'nother story, fingers crossed. You should get the PP blush tho. My co-worker just asked me to get one for her so its a good thing that I had ordered one online as well as one on my Nordies pick up notepad, lol

I just opened all my precious black boxes and started swatching everything in front of my perplexed co-workers!
I guess I can call this my Veronica Haul since everything is from the Veronica collection. (I have some Betty's on their way!)
Ronnie Red is lovely. It reminds me a lot of MAC Red. While MAC Red is a staple, it's probably the red I reach for the most.
Boyfriend Stealer is definitely a unique color. It reminds me of a more opaque version of Clinique's Black Honey. (Which is what I was hoping it would look like!) It almost looks like a purple lip smacker I used to rock back in the day!
Daddy's Little Girl reminds me of a more matte Outrageously Fun. This is perfect. I love the shade of OF but it doesn't seem to wear well on me. I'm hoping DLG will have better staying power.
I also got all of Veronica's Lipglasses. I was surprised how well each one compliments the corresponding lipstick. The shades are almost identical!
Also in this haul is Veronica's Blush and Prom Princess.
I know some pale ladies like me (NW 15-20) were on the fence about Prom Princess...Don't be! I swatched it lightly on my inner wrist and it is the nicest soft berry color. The sheen is lovely. I think I may need to BU this one!
Veronica's Blush (the Pearlmatte) is quite nice too. I swatched the main color and the pink hearts. It is VERY sheer! Even on my super pale inner arm I could barely see it. I'm hoping this will make for a nice, natural highlight. I know that a blogger somewhere compared it to Play it Proper (setting off a mass copycat effect!) but I think it's more silvery, less pink that Play it Proper.
I tried to take some photos, but between my older gen iPhone and crappy office lighting, you can't tell much.
I'll post some photos when I get home with my normal camera.
Is there anything that you all want swatched? Anything you want comparison swatches with?

No, those are good points to staying with a loose powder. I want to see if I get more of a veiled affect with the pressed. Other than that, its just handy for your purse.Elegant-one, I went to the thread and read the comments. I must say I'm intrigued (Oh who am I kidding---I'm jumping head first) and looking at the loose version.
I thought loose would be better because it "prolongs your makeup" so I was thinking I wouldn't need to reapply it. Also, I don't want to dip into my compact, transferring
foundation, etc into it, making it look icky. Am I over-thinking this? What do you think?

If you have Play it Proper it would be wonderful if you compared it to Veronica's Blush

I think I might really like this. I'm pale NW but i need some warmer eyeshadows to pair with my warmer tone lipsticks. I think the colours will show up better on my skin than T's, they seem pigmented enough for me. I'll still swatch in store before buying.

love it! I can't wait to finish mine.Love it! I agree that the Alex is a lot sturdier than the helmers too imo. I have a few drawers that are filled with heavy nail polishes and candles and they are very sturdy even when pull almost all the way out.
Here's my setup with the Alex units.

Katie is the only Illamasqua makeup product I own too! I do have a bunch of their nail polish (which is amazing). Katie is probably one of the more unique pinks in my collection too. It just brightens up my whole face too.
