Hmmm... the products look very nice! Although I am not an Archie fan (I prefer japanese manga as my comics), I am really tempted by everything.

Does anyone feel like Temptalia expects all make up to be *bam* crazy pigmented in one stroke? I feel like many people benefit from the so called "dryness" and sheerness of make up, which makes it more wearable for people. I wonder if she thinks of anything that doesn't have sheen as dry? I really like MAC for how wearable everything is. With a good base, you could always build up to full pigmentation as well. If i want crazy pigmentation, I reach for Sugarpill. However, for day to day wear, I like my make up to look appropriate, flattering and wearable due to versatility of the products, which is why I love MAC. Full pigmentation is not for everyone and doesn't necessarily make it the best product. I just needed to put that out there... lol People automatically write off a product, because temptalia says so. However, I often find myself loving products she reviewed poorly. Products also look very different on me compared to her. She gave the betty quad a really poor review, but I feel like it is something I would really love. I am skipping Archie, because I just bought a white limited edition ps3, so I will live through everyone's hauls! lol

I really do not agree with some of T' reviews. Like the lip glasses... They are awesome! Other than the milky one. I think kiss and don't tell and mall madness deserved better ratings. i can respect her opinion, though!

Some times T's reviews are off...She voices her opinion, I'm like cool...but, don't tell me what's gonna look good with my complexion unless you tried it on my specific skin tone...People buy what they want!! I don't mind milky lipglasses...I mean I wear them alone or with lipstick under them.

(Well...round one anyway! Lol!)

I just opened all my precious black boxes and started swatching everything in front of my perplexed co-workers!

I guess I can call this my Veronica Haul since everything is from the Veronica collection. (I have some Betty's on their way!)

Ronnie Red is lovely. It reminds me a lot of MAC Red. While MAC Red is a staple, it's probably the red I reach for the most.
Boyfriend Stealer is definitely a unique color. It reminds me of a more opaque version of Clinique's Black Honey. (Which is what I was hoping it would look like!) It almost looks like a purple lip smacker I used to rock back in the day! :)
Daddy's Little Girl reminds me of a more matte Outrageously Fun. This is perfect. I love the shade of OF but it doesn't seem to wear well on me. I'm hoping DLG will have better staying power.

I also got all of Veronica's Lipglasses. I was surprised how well each one compliments the corresponding lipstick. The shades are almost identical!

Also in this haul is Veronica's Blush and Prom Princess.
I know some pale ladies like me (NW 15-20) were on the fence about Prom Princess...Don't be! I swatched it lightly on my inner wrist and it is the nicest soft berry color. The sheen is lovely. I think I may need to BU this one!

Veronica's Blush (the Pearlmatte) is quite nice too. I swatched the main color and the pink hearts. It is VERY sheer! Even on my super pale inner arm I could barely see it. I'm hoping this will make for a nice, natural highlight. I know that a blogger somewhere compared it to Play it Proper (setting off a mass copycat effect!) but I think it's more silvery, less pink that Play it Proper.

I tried to take some photos, but between my older gen iPhone and crappy office lighting, you can't tell much.

I'll post some photos when I get home with my normal camera.

Is there anything that you all want swatched? Anything you want comparison swatches with?
I think it will hard to swatch the pearlmatte, but if you can...it would be lovely! Maybe with the blush?

As a WOC if a product isn't pigmented it isn't going to show up on my skin. I get that there are sheer colors, but honestly even a nude color should have a lot of pigmentation so that it can be used by darker skin tones. When I saw the swatches of the Betty Palette I was like, "Aww, that looks cute...totally not going to show up on my skin tone.

Ok. I caved , again. I really needed a hot pink blush. Nothing like I have, so why not. I then added the Mall madness and Betty's PM. I was only planning on getting one thing and came out with half of the dang collection! Hate when that happens lol

http://www.temptalia.com/mac-caramel-sundae-eyeshadow-palette-review-photos-swatches-archies-girls#more-37961 Now I'm torn about this one. I think it could work better on me since I'm fair-skinned, buuuuut...IDK. I'll have to see what else I want before I decide.
I ordered one just incase, but I was not too convinced when I swatched it at the store.

I think it will be too. It is very sheer...and I am very pale! I'm at least going to try to photograph it next to Play it Proper so people can compare those two!

As for who said, "Does Nicki Viva Glam 2 look like powdered crack donut lips aka. Tyronne Biggums?"

well...kinda, lol

But the lady at the MAC location I went to paired it with a dark brown lipliner and a gloss on top and it looked cute on her.

I'm still deciding whether I'll get it or not.

I am NC15 and almost all T's color reviews are the opposite for me, I got the Caramel Sundae and it works for me. Maybe you could check it out in person.

My favorite crease eyeshadow is MAC Wedge which people would find "sheer" or "not pigmented" but it creates the most natural look. Carine Roitfeld was given such poor rating by T but I for one love the palette. Everyone's different I guess.
