MAC x Archie's Girls (Betty & Veronica) Collection Discussion (February 2013)

Forgive me if this has been covered, but I've been away for a while writing a book.

I bought Betty Bright and Girl Next Door. I want Ronnie Red, but I'm concerned that it's too similar to Moxie. Can anyone swatch them for comparison, please? :)

So I went to the mall got their early just to get Ronnie red and prom princess, they opened early but to my surprise there was already a line inside, they opened through a different entrance first... There was a lot of people which I wouldn't expect since it is raining well their first things to go were the pigments (that's a first) then Ronnie red so I did not get that lipstick : ( but I did get my prom princess and added cream soda since I couldn't get RR.. Then as people were handing their lists they would call out what's sold out the only things that didn't sell out while I was there was the pearlmattes, few lipglosses and nail polishes oh and quads

How are fellow pales finding BB? Im waiting for the launch in the UK and its the main lipstick I'm interested in. I'm NC15 for reference.

I loathed Betty Bright. Aside from the extremely non-flattering colour, I see what many of you mean about the application issues. My lips aren't even remotely dry and it looked patchy. The MUA said it's a colour that really needs a gloss over it. I expect more of a $20 lippie than that.

in regards to Betty Bright by itself. It looks horrible on me on its own, but I do like it with summer sweetheart L/G over top. Only way it works for me.

Alright, who else braved their local stores and/or counters to swatch and triple-check what they wanted to buy? I went to our one store thirty minutes after they opened and they had already sold out of both Betty pigments and most of Veronica's lipsticks and glosses. There were also various MAC SAs from around the area getting what they could. I ended up hitting another counter on the way back and got Ronnie Red for a friend and saw one of those SAs from earlier in the store; she sort of looked at me like, "Already?!" Lady, I had to do what I had to do; this girl's gotta makeup!

And somehow I ended up with most of Betty's stuff, which is not what I had anticipated but meh.

I am trying to get some good pics to post, its gloomy and rainy here!!!

How bout I went to MACY's today to get my BF his present for Valentine's Day and I picked up another GND lmfao and that makes 3 total, but, I LOOOOVVVVEEEEEEE that color and will wear it everyday until April lol when Baking Beauties and Fashion Sets II release and then I will switch up ahahahhaa...

But, I did wear GND on my lips today, Veronica's Blush Pearlmatte, Prom Princess Blush and a Shell Beauty Powder as a highlight....and I still looked natural!!

I forgot to ask her if they do holds dang it. Luckily the two Macy's are 5 min from each other but I'm not going to the second one unless I have too. The main one I go to knows what's going on more.She had to explain to the other girl where the Archie Collection was on the phone...so weird lol.

I'll probably go this weekend or tomorrow if I'm feeling real froggy and return it, especially since my bf made the comment that I probably took some poor girls Ronnie Red. Then I'll probably swing by Express after since I received my coupons finally

When I tried Boyfriend Stealer with Feelin' So Good on top, it did NOT look that vampy or as gorgeous; I sort of looked like I had leftover melted chocolate all over my lips. And I would literally kill a man for your eyebrows.

I went to Nordies bright and early this morning when they opened. There was only one other young lady there with her B/F .

They had Archie themed make-up chairs and the MU was wearing the AG embossed logo T shirt. Everything looked super cute and nice.

I ended up with:

The MU was raving about the upcoming ED collection as she said when went to workshop recently. I was tempted to get the Spoiled Rich Quad but after she started to say how beautiful everything was in the ED collection I put on the brakes (at least for now)

I'm suppose to get my bu tomorrow and wow you got 3 lippes of that color lol. I don't blame you though it's hard to find a color like that and with a lustre finish.
