MAC Strength Collection Discussion (December 2012)

Hi everybody! I am new to the forum and I am the little sister of allthingsmakeup. You probably all heard the story of the three lipsticks (pink pigeon (2x) and party parrot (1x) ) we ordered but never received because MAC could not deliver them anymore. I was so dissapointed because I am huge fan of lipstick (I do not own many make-up things but lipstick on the other hand... especially in BOOM bright colors

).

We are complaining at cs because we feel like they cannot get away with it. We thought about being rude to cs as well, but the thing is you will just give MAC more reason to put your complaint aside. So we are going to start with plan A: being nice and if plan A does not work we are going to start plan B: and we all know what plan B stands for

I went in for archies and noticed a red just hangin out. Soon as i saw it i snatched it up!

Keep us posted on what they do about please. I'm considering sending a complaint via e-mail because these situations really bug me. Perhaps if they receive enough complaints they'll wake up?

I got my Strenght stuff last week. All of them, despite the 'sold-out' menace in the UK.

I'm really liking the All Woman Quad. It gives a perfect smoky eye for brighter lippies. Today I'm wearing it over a golden shadestick (Cuddle). I also like Posed, it gives me just a natural shadow on the cheeks.

AP - it's ok. It is bright enough on me to be wearable (I need warmth in darker reds) and the texture was nice. Only I was bothered by the fact that my lip lines don't look crispy.

Today I'm wearing SW (and Magenta) and Nicki! I put Nicki in the middle and it looks really nice!

I've got a dupe of Candy Yum Yum, and while I love it, I think it's a bit too cool for my NC15 complexion. Pink Pigeon looks a bit warmer compared to CYY, and it looks gorgeous on Pinkdollface as well, so I've been doubting what to do, lol!

sigh, just received my packaging from the Italian website.
Missing Pink Pidgeon despite the fact I ordered it when they put the stock online and the "sent" status on it.
I'm just MAD...

I got one during the last restock too!  Broke my bright pink no-buy for it, but since I used a gift card, I don't consider it cheating, lol.  Do you know how long it takes to finish a lipstick or two?  Way too long to wait to try on PiPi!  oke:   Go for it!

Me wearing Strong Woman, used NYX's Purple Rain as a lip liner... I'm very happy and will wear this one soon on a night out! As a reference, I'm NC15. ^_^

Looks great on you! Since purple works I think Daddy's Little Girl could work as well since it has more purple tones than Pink Pigeon or Candy Yum Yum.

Depends on your taste in colors. Strong Woman is much redder than Heroine. They are not dupes.

SW is so red on me i've only worn it 2 or 3 times since Strength was released in the US 26 Dec. But i'll see what i can blue it with. I don't have any magenta liners, but i have a couple magenta lipsticks i rarely wear, so i'll experiment with them.

It's a warm kind of purple on me and I didn't expect to like it, but I do! I'm in love! <3 Thanks for the compliments, guys. Still gonna try and get my hands on a copy of Heroine though!!

Here are some NYX liner suggestions for this collection: NYX Prune w/ Strong Woman, NYX Plush Red w/Party Parrot, NYX Fushia or Bloom w/ Pink Pigeon, and NYX Current or Burgundy w/ Absolute Power. Sorry, I passed on Firm Form. I have MAC pencils, but NYX liners are 70%-80% cheaper and are just as good. HTH

Well I want to thank everybody who's been understanding. I do appreciate this very much. And yes I did make a complaint to cs of Mac.nl, but I'm afraid they will do nothing to help me out here ( I do realize that I am far from the only one who has trouble with Mac.nl). And I hope everyone who did not recieve their complete order will get their money back. But I am just not the type who stands by and does nothing! Cause then they have won already. No matter how many people will tell me that it's no use....if you haven't tried you don't know. Keep you posted

Just a suggestion try finding out the number for customer service US, Canada or even UK. Maybe there is someone there that can maybe escalate the sitution for you. Maybe even intervene on your behalf. The level of customer service should be even across the brand. I really hope that you ladies get some sort of closure.

Ladies we promised to keep you updated so here we go: we emailed MAC.nl cs.. They responded saying they are truly sorry for not being able to deliver the lipsticks pink pigeon and party parrot anymore, technical trouble blabla. They offered us, well one of us, a free item. They also said they would give us our money back within a few days. But still no pink pigeon or party parrot for us...
