I have had my gal bladder removed nearly two years ago. I was relieved the pain stopped.

ETA: Forgot to add the most important thing: hope you feel better soon.

My dad just got his out and he's doing soooo much better. Apparently he had been in pain and it was acting up for the past year. He couldn't figure out why his "back" hurt so bad all the time and why he just felt so run down. Turns out it was the gallbladder this whole time. He got it out and is doing so much better now, thank goodness.

I hope they can figure out the best choice for you and that you feel better soon too!

Get well soon, Liba!

Kylie is an excellent suggestion for a new VG spokesperson. She is most definitely glam :) Love her style!

I need some color stories for the summer collections or new product photos and/or swatches for the March and April ones. Getting bored over here!

Me too!

I'm skipping the Mineralized lipsticks, and only want a few products from ED and Baking Beauties. I hope to get all the neutrals from the Pro collection but I still have MAC money burning through my pocket book.

Sorry ladies, I haven't been around this whole week - 'found out I had gallstones by having a painful attack. Now I'm waiting to do more tests and figure out if I want surgery or not. I don't want to just ditch my gall bladder!

Now to get the rest of me healthy.

Hope you feel better! Surgery is scary (I had 2 open heart surgeries) with very little assurance that life was going to be okay. One of the procedures I wasn't even aware of lol. If it makes you feel better, gallbladder removals are usually very successful and you just have to reduce the amount of fat in your diet (due to lack of bile storage), but your body will still produce the bile. It just won't be enough to digest a huge amount of fat from the diet in a single meal. We can all benefit from a lower fat diet anyway! :) Hopefully you won't need it though. >_< So many people these days are getting their gall bladder or appendix removed. *curse you inflammation*

Sorry Specktra family. I'm going to be on and off the boards due to my work schedule. I need my fix of you guys and makeup talk though, so I am going to try my darndest not to be gone for too long and check in as much as I can whether or not I can comment.

Now, I just need more info on upcoming collections. I get depressed when I don't see anything new on the boards.

I think it'd be cool to see a collab with Marina & The Diamonds (Marina Diamandis) her look for her latest album Electra Heart is a bit superficial/Stepford Wife-- which is the look she was going for, it's sort of an alter ego/stage character- but in general her actual style is really cool and I think she'd make some bright, fun lippies (I was thinking about it while watching her Oh No video). I guess she's been popular in the UK for a few years now, but she's just starting to get recognized/played here in the States since releasing Electra Heart (it has a lot more of a catchy mainstream, pop sound but I prefer it to most of the music played on the radio here, her first album is really good though; I just love her voice). I'm pretty sure Glee is actually supposed to cover one of her songs (How to be a Heartbreaker), so that'll definitely bring some attention to her music (I actually saw one of her music videos on E!, and I know she's touring here for the second time in the past year this May, and a lot of her shows sold out last time & are selling out this time too, so obviously she has some fanbase here) The more I think about it, the more excited I get.. I'd love to see MAC do some sort of mini collection with her! It seems like a bit of a stretch, but Azalea Banks seemed to be too, so who knows! *fingers crossed* Pleasssse MAC

Ohhhh baby! Marina is a brills suggestion. Totally deserving, not an obnoxious loud mouth attention slore....I would love to see a Viva Glam spokesperson who was controversy free, it would just be a nice change up. THEN MAC could go back to their controversial folks. It's just gotten to be gimmicky IMHO ( Lady Gaga, Nicki, Azealia, Rihanna) I know the last two aren't VG. I was sad about some of the things Azealia said particularly because she's talented and pretty fly. Anyhow, it's ok to have a lower profile VG spokesperson. RuPaul was ideal, flashy AND classy. Would love to see a return to that. / end rant

Ooh, Marina would be a great pick! It would definitely help bring attention to her music.

I just did it today! I will report back later.
I dried my brushes yesterday with the bristles hanging over the edge of the counter.  It worked pretty good.  Do you lay your brushes on a towel to dry?  Is it really a big deal to have them dry upside down?
I always dry my brushes with the bristles hanging over the edge of the counter, works like a charm. :) My brushes are the same as when I bought them so..

I notice over the weekend that I am as pale as a ghost. I don't have a bronzer and don't tan so I have been searching the web for some ideas.

Does anyone have an opinion on Minseralize Skinfinish Natural in Give Me Sun? Or any other MAC bronzer?

I can not wear shimmer, but this doesn't look shimmery. For reference my foundation shades are NW20, C1 and N4.

I really appreciate any help you can give. TIA
