I just got an email regarding the NEW 1,000 point perk. Its 20% off of one entire purchase. Thinking about doing it since I havent found anything in the last 6 months I totally love or cant get a sample of otherwise but its a ton of points to lose at one time. Anyone else doing it?

WOW, sounds like they really want people to use their points....I have like 700....never see anything I want from the 100 and 500 point rewards so I'll keep saving for the 20% off I guess....thanks for posting this.

I just ordered some things a couple of days ago because I went up another level and they gave me a 10% off. My account when I log in at the top of the page says a bit over 800 but when I click on the beauty insider it says +286 or something and gives the total over 1,000. I was in the store Sat night and bought some items so I'm wondering if they just haven't been added.

But 20% off would've been great on that $65 Hourglass brush and NARS powder I just ordered. I used the 10% on these and a few other stuff that totaled $165, wished that'd been 20% off instead.

I wonder if I'll get sent the email once my points show over 1,000 at the top when signed in.

1000 points at Sephora France means.. a gift but not 20 % off. As a " Gold " card I do have 20 % off quite often but not when I reach 1000 points ( maybe 2 or 3 times a year though ) !

I had about 900+ points at the end of the year and I just used them on some Josie Maran stuff b/c I never really like the 500 pt gifts. Poops and ladders. I'd rather have saved up for 1000 since the Josie Maran cleansing oil just caused my face to break out. Totally pore clogging.

Thanks for the heads up! I haven't rec'd the email yet but will look out for it now.I think I used my points once, and I surprisingly liked the item. But for the past year or so nothing has peaked my fancy so I just may do this.

I don't have 1000 points yet, but I'll definitely use the 20% off option when I do. I'd much rather get 20% off stuff I know I want, versus using points on small samples that I may not like.

I feel pretty much the same way. I've ended up with many samples and I feel bad throwing them out lol. If I run out of face cream/face wash at least I have a back up lol...but still!
I didn't know about any 1000 point perks, Silly me - I will start saving.

The more and more I think about it I'm not sure. That means you have to spend $1000 to get 20% off? That seems a little crazy when put into that perspective.

The points accumulate across years so it's not really that bad. That's why I have so many points. I typically don't redeem them.

My points built up over a few years as well. I don't think anyone is ridiculous enough too spend 1k bucks just for a discount. If that's the case they hardly needed that 20 off.

I'll also add that the points you have don't necessarily reflect what you've actually spent. There are times when Sephora offers double point promotions, so you can I earn more points faster and without spending as much.

I've never seen the double point promo (probably happened when I was on a no-buy). All my points were earned dollar by dollar -- and I'm not ashamed. :)

I typically buy at Sephora when I receive news of 20% discounts.
I'm a long way from 1,000 points, but the 20% offers come often enough for my limited budget.
Here in Spain there are a lot of brands which aren't available in the shops, even in the big Gran Via branch.
Again, probably just as well, though I'd love to get a 20% discount on Bobbi Brown and MAC products!
Or Tom Ford. Or Suqqu. Or so many others!

Hi guys! I work there so I'm gonna tell you guys all about it,
Were trying it out and it became valid this month all the way until May 26.
The last day of REDEMPTION of the 1000 point perk is May 26, now whenever you actually redeem the 20% off card, whether it be today or on May 26 will expire 60 days from redemption.
They say you have to redeem the points and actually use the 20% off in separate purchases, but I would just go up to the register and ask to redeem the 1,000 points for the card then go shopping and use it same day if you would like!
I'm not really sure how we would go about actually enforcing a 60 day expiration but I'm sure they could work something out.
Just remember you have until May 26 to earn up to 1000 points for the 20% off!

The most I've seen anyone save so far was $100 on a $500 purchase!!! 0.O

lol right!! you would be surprised though! sometimes the people who spend the most are the ones who go crazy when something goes wrong and they cant get that discount they so desperately need while they have 15,000 points sitting in their account!
