MAC Fashion Sets 2013 Collection (April 2013)

Hey lovelies, I'm late to the party, but wanted to say hi & express my excitement for the month of April, it's a good month to have a bday because I can keep justifying MU purchases as, well it's my bday.... Can anyone guess if Silly is going to be similar to Force of Love? & is Ablaze going to be ,ore along the lines of Betty Bright or Watch Me Simmer...or am I completely & utterly off base on both accounts? I do want the Ablaze LL b/c I've just started trying to open up orange on my lips, Lasting Sensation LL does nothing for me. What do you all pair with Lasting Sensation? I need suggestions! I want these NOW!

Ablaze, Silly, Embrace Me, Heroine

Heroine looks especially lovely on your skintone




I contemplated Heroine for a minute. I find that when I wear it with Magenta liner it's much more palatable, but I love my Strong Woman too much. Out of the bold purples, SW is definitely the winner for me!

I'm totally in the same boat! After looking at the pictures of the lipsticks in the tubes, I actually think they will be quite different. SNL looks like a more yellow-toned orange (it reminds me of a matte version of Hot Sass if you happen to remember the Dazzle ls collection) and Ablaze looks darker, brighter and more pink/red toned. I thought that I only needed one, but I think that I need both now.

I can't decide to get between Ablaze and SLN from Hayley Williams'.:S
Does anybody have the same problem as me?

I noticed a lot of lighter skinned people prefer strong woman over heroine and darker skinned people prefer heroine over strong woman (like myself) lol

Hello!! Happy Birthday! Ablaze will be nothing like Betty Bright and Watch Me Simmer since it's a orange apricot shade. For Silly, it could be similar to Force of Love and will compare both of them when I get Silly l/s.

From what I see in swatches, Silly is MUCH more pink than Force of Love. I classify FOL as a coral shade. I think Silly is somewhat comparable to Chatterbox. Again, this is all just me eyeballing from swatches. Haven't seen Silly in person.

@Ladyarwen Thank you for posting that link!!! The heroine eyeshadow is gorgeous. The page also says that the items will be available online March 28th!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't rely on that, Mac is so unpredictable and have a habit of releasing items days before they put out a release date. Dont miss out

The pro store in Montreal will start selling this collection on April 4th. I think I will wait for Extra Dimension and get whatever is left from Fashion Set at the same time.

i think all the stores in town are keeping a tight lid on this collection...one place told me to call back next week to put stuff on hold, and the other told me i could only phone to reserve items on launch day, and hold them for 24 hrs max.

Today I called a store near me and they pulled the items I wanted but won't let me pre-pay. All of this inconsistency. I think I will still stalk online in case that woman was pulling my chain. That's too far a drive to get there and find out otherwise. My bail fund is running too low for that.

all the colors are so beautiful!!! it sucks I have to see how they look on though. my skin color has changed dramatically
over the past months so some the lipsticks I already own don't work with my skin tone anymore. heroine is so pretty & silly too!
embrace me I have the liner already so I definitely want at least one. Ablaze isn't really interesting me but it's different from anything I have
so I may give it a chance

I *think* I'm going to walk away from this collection just with Heroine L/G and L/S. Ablaze looks interesting though too.. How do you ladies think it would look on an NC 15 skin tone? In extra dimension is going to be the wallet eater for me..
