MAC Baking Beauties Collection (April 2013)

[COLOR=6666CC]I like Lavender Whip, but it always had a little too much pink in it for my taste. I want a more blue based slightly darker lavender color. Now that I have found Inglot 281, I don't need Lavender Whip anymore. I'm very happy.[/COLOR]:yahoo:

Today I hauled 281 and 281 and a new 10-palette! :flower: Yay for 25% discount. :cheer: Don't know if I'm gonna like 281 on me because lavenders usually don't suit me but it's a better bet than Lavender Whip and it's only €9/$11,50 (with discount) versus MAC's €18,50/$23,70. I'm gonna skip Devil's Food, it looks like a sheer/glossy version of Dramatic Encounter and I wear that one sheer anyway. TBH I think I'm gonna skip the entire collection. The only thing I really want (NEEEED) from the upcoming collections is Heroine (I'm in such a purple mood lately!) but I'm not going to Amsterdam for just 1 lipstick. Is there a Dutchie who's willing to buy one for me?

The lip balms have absolutely no colour whatsoever! So stupid to have multiple "colours"!

This collection is going to be a P-A-S-S for me. Lavender Whip lipstick is all I want for it and thats for my kit only. :clueless:

No way! Marine Life was a work of art! It really reminded me of the gorgeous Chantecaille powders from a few years ago (called Protected Paradise). Those retailed for $90. These flowery ones are just meh.

I agree! These in no way come even close to comparing with marine life in terms of design hype!

Same for me (the bolded). I used to want Devil's Food, but I am now sure I don't - I have a Maybelline dupe for that - and now I am thinking I don't want Lavender Whip, since it looks sooo much like Hot Plum from the Maybelline Vivids. Does anyone have both of those lipsticks to compare?

Really? I just bought Hot Plum l/s but haven't tried it yet. I don't have LW.

I don't have LW (yet lol) but I do have Hot Plum and they are NOTHING alike. LW is almost white in comparison just google it and u will see hot plum is wayyyyy darker

Maybe you can take a look at something like MAC's Pure White Chromaline for that. 

 The Chromaline doesn't have any shimmer though.

Man. This collection is really disappointing me. I agree with erine. Why the hell would they make color lip balms and all they do is show up f*cking clear? What's the point of that? If I buy a blue lipgloss I expect it to be blue on the lips! I was thinking about Glace' but, now it's a pass as well. I don't think there is going to be anything in this collection I'm going to jump out of my seat for. I just hope the Summer collections are this much of a let down.
