MAC Fashion Sets 2013 Collection (April 2013)

I wonder if MAC is producing any more of Heroine l/l or just leaving it as is? This item truly has been the main limited one of this collection. Everything else seemed to have lasted a little bit longer. They spoiled us with stock for the Strength lipsticks by restocking (and my local MAC store had a lot of PiPi &PaPa in stock for weeks). Even AG was restocked a couple times. This one has to be as well. Guess we'll wait and see what they have up their sleeves.

So I went to two diff MAC's in search for heroine lip liner because I have this nagging feeling that I should at least see it in person lol My two attempts were complete fails! The MAC store was out of it and the lipstick. The counter was also out of it. Sigh, that's what I get for ignoring my alarm in the am. I knew it wouldn't be available since it was already 12 when I went.. They both had magenta as the replacement but I didn't even bother.

My counter was sold out of it an hour after opening. Replacing it with Magenta is such a false hope! Messing with a girl emotions like that! Shame on you MAC!

Believe it or not, I think Ablaze l/s is starting to grow on me. I tried it out again this afternoon with Throw Me a Line l/l which helps to tone down the pink/up the orange. It's not a colour I'd wear a heavy application of so the brightness is manageable. My mother went on about how much she liked it on me. I'm going to give it a bit of time, I think.

I did some quick lip swatches for those requesting fair complexion swatches

Left is Silly with the l/l. Right is Ablaze with Lasting Sensation l/l






They're both so bright! I swatched Ablaze liner in store today to see if it was a "must have" and on my complexion, it didn't look much different than Lasting Sensation (Ablaze was a fraction more on the reddened side, but minimally), so I just stuck with LS! I'm glad Silly isn't too drying on my lips, and it's the color I wanted CYY to be. A little less on the blue-tones and still just as bright!

sorry I should have clarified. I'm looking to purchase them online but everywhere seems to be sold out. by the time I make it to any store or counter I know they'll be sold out for sure.

Seriously! & what kind of ticked me off was when I walked in and went straight to the fashion sets display , the MuA's giggled. Like they knew I was there for heroine and it was already gone. Although, now that I think about it, it must've been amusing to see all these crazed people on the hunt for it today; and there I was feeding on to their amusement.

I went to my Mac Pro and mac counter today. I was able to get the last heroine lip liner and lipstick. Both locations told me they put their items on hold for themselves last night leaving the store with 5 of each! She really had to guts to admit such a thing. This totally proves stores were lying when they said that had very limited amounts of the mailyn monroe collection.

TBH the dryness is not a huge issue for me as long as my lips are okay. I can't wait to see what you ladies who still haven't gotten your Silly think. I know many of you were/are worried about it.

They were probably laughing because, they got first pick before launch.

Probably one of the reasons why it sold out so fast at my counter. The girls there are notorious for doing that. It kinda pisses me off. But, It happens all the time. That's why I rarely go to the counters anymore. Just hunt for them online.
