MAC In Extra Dimension Collection 2013 (April 2013)

Same here! I ordered Triple Impact and Opalesse EDES on the 3rd and won't arrive until the 15th! I was supposed to get them Tuesday but it ended up somehow in Los Angeles!

tell me about it! And yes I ordered them from Macy's. I got standard shipping so I guess I can't really complain... And no I haven't received my blushes yet and can't track them! Ugh.

It usually takes a week for things to get to me and I still have not gotten either of my packages from this collection. [insert] Pouty face [/insert] LOL I hate waiting for things to arrive.

Well if all else fails I will grab some stuff from the CCO...my local CCO has the ED eyeshadows from the last collection right now, so fingers crossed the will get the blushes from this collection.

My thoughts exactly! I'm still looking for some of the shadows from the original ED release. Wish the CCO closest to me had them.

i know the pic is low quality since i used my phone in my room to take this pic lol but wanted u guys to see Flaming Chic on me. I finally got it to show up. I had to scrub like i was cleaning something with one of my brushes until i saw the 'top layer' was starting to wear off lol and thats when it started to show up on my skin

ETA: i also had put macs face and body on my cheeks before putting on the blush

I think that blush looks hot on you. Are you wearing Heroine there or maybe Embrace Me lippy as well? I love this combo

Well, I've now had more of a chance to play with Shape the Future. I don't really care for the darker tone.

The darker shade is very pigmented and better suited as a blush, at least on me. It was too heavy even when applied with my 188. I had to remove it, do a light swirl with the 188 and then tap some of it off before trying again. By then it's so sheer I don't think it will last. Meh. I can tone down the colour with the lighter shade, but even then I'm not a fan. I'm not sure if it's because of the natural redness in my cheeks (although I'm wearing foundation that really eliminates that), but I'm not loving the red-orangy colour. If I want orange and glow, I'll reach for Stereo Rose. If I want it to be more of a golden peach, I'll use NARS South Beach. Or one of my many coral/orangy blush and another hightlight.

Thiis product isn't for me; it may be better suited to those with deeper complexions than mine or those who like a stronger punch of colour. I'm not going to keep it, but I won't return it because I know it's in short supply. If anyone would like it at Canadian cost, please let me know. I'm going to add it to my sales thread now.

EDIT: The MUA at my counter suggested that I just use the lighter shade as a highlighter. I really like it that way - it's not as metallic as Def Def. The darker shade looks nice as an eyeshadow, but I don't know if it's eye-safe (although the MUA applied it that way).

My closest MAC store sold out of Zestful at 7:35 AM this morning!

I wonder how little they got of that shade. I'll be spending my lunch hunting down one for myself (currently have it on hold at the Eaton Centre, I called about 5 minutes after the store opened and I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't get mixed up or sold). I'm dreaming of using it with Urban Decay's Freak 24/7 eye liner (whenever it ends up in Sephora here).

So far my haul is all the blushes and skin finishes, and 3 eye shadows (Opalesse, Triple Impact, Smoky Mauve).

The SA was wearing Zestful on the inner third, possibly Triple Impact in the middle, and possibly Smoky Mauve on the outer third. I'm totally copying that eye look even if I have to pin my bangs back to show it off. LOL

The MUA said she doesn't understand why they got so little in. I wasn't gonna get anything, just wait to see what showed up at the CCO in a few months but when I saw Zestful, I had to have it because I don't have anything like it and the makeup junkie in me wouldn't allow me to be patient and wait to see if it showed up in a CCO later SMH

What the heck? Only 2? That's crazy! And I agree, it's such a unique colour (especially since it seems like there are very few greens left in the perm line, I'm still upset that Juxt was d/c'd!).

If I didn't love the formula so much I wouldn't be in this much of a frenzy. I had no problems skipping Archie, not interested in Baking Beauties, and I'll probably skip the upcoming summer mineral collection (if there is one this year) as well. Pretty much addicted to anything Extra Dimension now. *hangs head in shame*

It's very sheer and reflective (the mermaidy references are apt), but I think it will look great over a darker base too. I tried it over Benefit Holy Smokes and it was suddenly a deep reflective green. This one is really a chameleon; I have a feeling Opalesse will be the same.

Thanks for your thoughts on it. I think I can skip it now. Isn't the lighter side described as being "iridescent" or something? Do you see any of that in it?

That sounds awesome. I'm starting to get antsy... I still have at least another half hour before I can go for lunch.

I'm gonna try it over a black base and a navy one too
