MAC In Extra Dimension Collection 2013 (April 2013)

I finally got the chance to unbox my ED haul that arrived yesterday! Question... a few of these boxes (MAC packaging) arrived opened, which is not a big deal because it seems to be a common issue?  However, I did notice that my DD looks like this.  The top part has areas that are lighter - is this normal?  And the bottom part looks like it has a fingerprint?    That was the first thing I noticed before I even opened the compact.  I inspected everything else and they all looked fine.

Someone mentioned earlier they had the same issue. That they MSf was swatched. They got theirs from Macy's.

Hourglass #2 can be used for blush, powder foundation, and liquid too. Very awesome brush

I have that brush but assumed it would be too soft, so I'll give it a try! Thanks for the tip!

Hey, I went for the Hourglass brushes too on the Sephora sale! Love them--I got the large concealer, and 2 eyeshadow brushes (crease and dome). Considering going back for the #1, but I've been quite the spendthrift lately so might save that for their next sale.

Completely unrelated but can I just say I'm still mourning the fact I didn't pick up Stolen Moment from the Glamourdaze collection. I was very well behaved with this collection and only got one blush in Fiery Impact. Quite proud!

Eww! I would call those guys up and tell them to send you a new one.

I checked the other two, which I purchased in the store yesterday, and same thing. I just called them and the rest of their stock has the same issue. The ones I ordered online, I'm exchanging but I'm concerned I just another two that are the same.

Yeah you do, it's been in Yasmin's Double definition.

Maybe this is why they aren't up on Mac's website? Maybe they got the shipment in and they were all defiled by someone grubby mitts.

I just spoke to an SA at the Freestanding store and all of her stock has the same thing. She assures me that since it's a baked product, those spots are a result of water evaporation and should in no way affect the product. Not sure how true that is, but I don't believe the product is tainted as a result. I sure hope it's not anyway. It seems to be, at the moment, a product-wide occurrence.
