I completely ignored the blue and silver color.I went to Nordies today and officially I am done with my haul for this collection. I got the 235 brush, Dimensional Blue, Ablaze lipgloss, shamefully another Opalesse edes and FI blush. I told the associate to hold Mooncake and Eclair PP for me until TR (so I can feel as tho I skipped BB). I told her about the mysterious fingerprints and when we checked the SF we saw it visible on a few new products, not all. I didn't know about this issue on Thur to check mines and I have already messed around with them so I have no clue if mine were tainted or not
Not necessarily something in the mold itself, but the process of stamping down on it while it's still somewhat soft. You would have to know how their process works--maybe they swivel around as they go down the production line, or move very fast, so a machinery part may hit them at different angles or most of the time doesn't come into contact with them but does so on occasion. Or there could be variations in the finishes when they dry for some reason, maybe due to differences in air humidity at different times or something like that, who knows? I'm just speculating like everyone else, of course, but you will see if you try it yourself that you can't put a visible fingerprint on them. So you would have to have a disgruntled employee who somehow sticks their fingers in them while they are still soft. It's possible If they are handled right after they are baked but not completely dry, but it's likely to be a highly automated process so not sure if someone would have an opportunity to handle them then. I'm not saying people shouldn't complain, but at the end of the day I suspect it's something to do with the manufacturing process. So my EDSFs came from macys today (3 days earlier than tracking showed), and my order was messed up too! My invoice was correct (2 Def Def and 1 STF) but they switched it, and sent me 1 Def Def and 2 STF! Needless to say, i contacted them, so hopefully they can send me the right items before they sell out. Oh, and all 3 of them had fingerprints! Here's the clearest one i could get a pic of. I don't think it's the molds as someone else mentioned, as they'd all she prints in the exact same spot if it were.
really blue highlighter? You have to show us when you do it.Not getting the blue and silver ones were my initial plan as well but I hauled too much from Macys and had to do some damage control with my SA at Nordies so i threw it in DM last minute. I wear navy and ceil blue mostly for work so it should come in handy. I most like will use it as a highlighter
I think Opalesse is the one that swatched and looked like one of the colors in the Urban Decay Oz Great & Powerful palette (I want to say the Glinda one...mind is blanking right now). At least I think Opalesse is the one. That's they only reason I passed on it...I got my haul on Thursday. Its surprising to say that least that I did not get even one of the EDSF. I were to get one it would have been STF. I ended up with Opalesse because it looks like nothing I currently own. The closest thing would be Static from Illamasqua and that's a pigment. I had to get Flaming Chic EDB and will most likely go back for Fiery Impact.
MAC.Was your error shipment mac, macys or nordies?
I tried using the Hourglass #2, and you're right, you do get a lot better colour payoff with that brush. I was finding that even Flaming Chic wasn't showing up that much on me, but it's fine with the #2. I found it even worked better when I held the brush close to the tip and sort of squeezed the brush as i swept the blush over my cheek, which made it perform like it was a denser brush. I got that idea from a YouTube video I saw somewhere, where someone said if you have a retractable kabuki and don't pull it all the way out when you use it, it makes the brush more dense. I also believe that waxy layer might be deeper than we think because now that I've used it more and really scrubbed my brush over it, it's a lot more pigmented. I don't think it's all getting removed with just a Q-tip, at least not this particular colour, unless you rubbed it pretty hard. Please try and let me know what you think as well. Their brushes are pricey, but worth it
I thought that too and I havent even used that oz palette yet! plus wanted TI and once I swatched zestful I had to get it!! I didn't even get a blush hopefully I can get one when I go get my baking beauties stuff...I think Opalesse is the one that swatched and looked like one of the colors in the Urban Decay Oz Great & Powerful palette (I want to say the Glinda one...mind is blanking right now). very pretty!!bareness on my cheeks
Aww. Migraine? I had a 3rd one in 8 days the other day. I'm going in to change/adjust my meds.Really??? Wait, y'all are saying usps, I called ups. LOL Sorry... I told y'all my head was hurting.
I agree. It doesn't bother me to use it, as it's powder and won't harbor bacteria. But it's definitely something MAC needs to look into, or at least notify everyone to inform customers when they purchase them that it's not a fondled product, but in fact a production thing. Otherwise everyones gonna return them and they're gonna get trashed out.I'm not saying people shouldn't complain, but at the end of the day I suspect it's something to do with the manufacturing process.
Thanks.MAC.
Oh, definitely, I agree they need to address it because it's reasonable for people to be upset if it looks like their products have been handled! Mine could very well have had prints, too, but I am not exactly the most observant person in the world, so never would have noticed something like that.Aww. Migraine? Do you have a swatch of that?Blackground paint pot with zestful on top looks awesome.....................
I almost bought it because of that since that color is an LE and highly unlikely to join the UD lineup. It's Aura (one of the dual shadows) in Glinda. I loved that one because it was so different and unique to anything in ,my collection. If it's still available Thursday morning when I go to test and possibly purchase some Baking Beauties items then I'll go ahead and get it. I liked Zestful also but initially I have no intention on getting any shadows...I have several unused, unopened ones that I need to get rid of as it is from other brands, but as usual my addiction is strong and I fold easily lolI thought that too and I havent even used that oz palette yet! plus wanted TI and once I swatched zestful I had to get it!!
