I agree! They need to make the lipsticks permanent! I'd be happy too if they'd make the glosses and liners permanent. I'm just not sure if they will... since they didn't make Spice and Razzledazzler lipsticks permanent last time... but I'll still keep my fingers crossed.Exactly!! Hehe I think they NEED to keep all the lipsticks and liners at the very last especially considering last time they made a bunch of glosses and nail polishes permanent!! Cross your fingers everyone!!Xx

I hope Nordstrom ships my order of the BU of Heroine l/l. I also ordered Heroine e/s off of Nordstrom since it's on backorder and ordered Ablaze e/s off of MAC's website!

Behind the 8-ball with this collection. Rec'd Heroine first b/c I ordered it online from Nordstrom, but order the rest of the collection from my counter so I had to wait for the later release. I got so wrapped up wearing Heroine several times per week (fabulous flattering color that especially rocks on WOC) that I never even looked at the other lippies when they arrived. It's been at least a week and I finally decided to play tonight. Ablaze was neon and a little scary looking on it's own. I topped it with an orange l/g I had by Rock & Republic called Hot Sauce and LOVE IT! The lipstick would have been perfect for my outfit today. Next I tried Silly and ehh that was a chalky pink on my lips. Pink powdered donuts. I added clear gloss which significantly darkened the color and made it wearable. I've never worn a light pink lipstick before so I'm not sure what I would do with this. I tried NYX liners in Nude Pink and Toast (outline) and preferred Toast for a smooth transition with my skin tone. It still wasn't the most flattering color on me. Finally I tried Embrace Me. It's a pretty dark pink and appeared flattering after Silly, but seemed to be missing something on it's own. I feel like I've purchased several bright dark pinks recently (Moxie, Pink Pigeon, Party Parrot, Daddy's Little Girl, etc) so I was not enthralled with it. I topped it with a clear gloss and it looked even prettier. I'm thinking I'll have to use a liner and/or gloss with this shade as it doesnt quite stand on it's own. I did purchase all the matching glosses, but am hesitant to open them b/c I don't like having lots of open lip glosses. I also don't like the sticky l/g formula so I may end up selling or swapping. The colors are stunning though so it will be difficult to part unless I find some drugstore dupes.
A MUA recently told me that almost all lippies look better with a gloss. I was under the impression that a product should work on it's own w/o much prodding (with few exceptions.) It seemed all but Heroine needed a lip gloss to make them wearable on me. I'm beginning to think I may have to use gloss more often than not which is something I was hoping to avoid. All in all this set had beautiful looking colors. I was especially pleased with the inclusion of purple and orange as I'm feeling pinked out.

Omg heroine looks beautiful on uFinally got my Macys store ship of Heroine! I'm so happy I was able to get at least one!MAC HeroineMAC Heroine covered w/ Heroine lipgloss. I was on the fence about keeping the gloss but it makes the lippy look n feel creamy! Plus the lipstick gets bolder in color, what do y all think? i had a discussion with an mua i think when reel sexy launched, where she agreed with my decision not to buy a matching gloss for heroine even though it looked nice on...her take was that one could just use a clear gloss and get a similar (not same) effect. i'm not a big gloss wearer (though you wouldn't know it from looking at my collection), so the past year i've been trying to avoid buying more!

When I was trying them on I just slapped a clear gloss on Silly and Embrace Me. Silly may need something more than clear due to the chalkiness. The gloss has taken the edge off of several of my bright lipsticks so I'll be trying it more often, but even this morning the wind blew my hair right onto my lips and I wanted to just growl. I hate having my hair stuck to my lips and gloss on my cheeks.

exactly. it is periwinkle blue. it is definitely not purple. lol that is almost foolish for someone to buy. i disliked the quality of the shadows.
