I wondering how people are finding the formula of Lavender Whip? I got my Raspberry Swirl yesterday and I hate the formula on my lips. I have really bad lip lines, probably way too bad for someone my age (I'm 23) and my lips are very dry and often chapped. I exfoliate and use lots of lip balm but nothing really helps. I have alot of problems with lipsticks settling in my lines and accentuating the dryness etc, especially paler colours, so I knew to expect that with RS, but I think this was probably one of the worse formulas I've ever had on my lips! Which is a shame because I love the colour. I have the same issue with Saint Germain- love the colour hate the formula, it's alot better than this one though. I only have 1 other cremesheen which is Outrageously Fun, and I like the formula of that so thought I would for this one too. I use prep n prime under all my lipsticks, and I'm going to try RS with a lip liner aswell to see if that helps. But I was thinking of getting LW when it launches properly here in the UK tomorrow. I obviously don't want to have the same problem so was wondering how others are finding these 2 lipsticks? Also, if RS is better with a lip liner, I wouldn't know which liner to get to use with LW, what's everyone else using?
Have you tried the fresh sugar lip balms? I find them very hydrating.

I can't help about the formula, but I used to have similar issues with my lips. The last couple of weeks though, my lips have been as smooth and flake-free as they've ever been. I started using micellar water to cleanse my lips every night, and I was amazed at the difference it has made. I've been using Lancome up to now which is pricy (it was a GWP) but I want to try the L'Oreal version. (My favourite balm is Carmex Lime Twist) Anyway, it may not help you but I thought it was worth mentioning. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water too!
Thank you for the advice! I've not tried the Lancome water but I did start using Bioderma Crealine H20 micelle solution to remove my lipstick (and eye make up) a couple of months ago and it has helped. I got it after hearing Lisa Eldridge rave about it in one of her videos and I'm so glad I tried it, I love it and would definitely recommend it. I've heard good things about both the L'oreal and Lancome ones too. I've tried alot of different lip balms but for the past year I've used Jack Black lip balm which has been the best I've tried. I'll definitely give the Carmex one a try though, I'm always grateful for advice and recommendations when it comes to lip products. I'm currently looking into if there's anything that might help with my lip lines as they're really bothering me the most at the moment.

Yes I have the Lush Bubblegum one which I absolutely love! I often find myself opening it just to smell it lol. It really helps to exfoliate them, as does gently using my electric toothbrush, but they're still just extremely dry :(

The scrubs are nice, but fresh has a lip balm, expensive, but great. It's the best I've ever tried. Check it out!

Oops lol sorry I mustn't have read you post properly, I thought you meant fresh sugar lip scrubs like the ones from Lush. I've never heard of Fresh but I'll look into it and see if I can get them here in the UK. Thank you!

I was going to suggest Jack Black but I see you've been using. It's better than Carmex to me (I used to swear by Carmex until I tried Jack Black). I had this one lip treatment by H20 that was amazing but I haven't been able to find it anymore). But to your original question, I actually find LW very comfortable to wear. It's not drying on my lips (I expected it to be) and I don't find myself having to do a full removal before re-applying (I usually have to with most lippies because they tend to pill up on my lips if I apply again without removing).

Yes I love Jack Black lip balm. My dog loves it too whenever I use it she's always trying to lick it off my finger and my lips lol. I'm glad to hear you find LW comfortable and it isn't drying for you. It sucks you're not able to return things you don't like after trying them in the UK. I'm very unwell and can't even get to a make up counter to check it out in person. I've been completely confined to bed for the past 3 years. I've been very slowly getting better over the past few months but I'm still not able to get to a store. I have to buy everything online so it really helps hearing what other people think. Thank you!

Faints.... Medgal, you do not label your lipsticks too! LMAO... please come and organize my collex.

I most certainly do. Who can read that tiny print? I label everything as soon as I get it.

I would slap a label on you too, if you were in my stash!

I find that I need to exfoliate once in a while (more in Winter) to prevent those flakies from ruining the finish--esp. after wearing frosts, mattenes and satins--they are just really drying for me. I use sugar crystals mixed with an oil like olive oil or almond oil (make sure it soemthing you won't mind the taste of!) and rub the mixture around on my lips. MAC makes a product called Prep and Prime Lip--its a primer for the lips and it makes all the difference for me. Lipsticks I hated to wear because of the uneven application work beautifully with that product and it cut down how much they dry out my lips too. HTH

Yes I exfoliate every day with a Lush lip scrub which is basically sugar and oil (and tastes yummy) and I do use Prep n Prime lip too. Both definitely help alot. I only started using prep n prime about 2 months ago but I wouldn't wear lipstick without it now. It really makes a big difference, just not enough for certain lipsticks. Sigh. Thank you for your help though. I'm glad there are other people with the same problem and it's not just me. I actually tried RS with a lip liner (NYX Dolly Pink) and it did help abit but it still looked a mess. So I think I'm going to have to leave LW. As much as I love the colour I just can't afford to waste money on a formula I know isn't going to work for me. I've been looking on different blogs trying to compare RS and LW on the lips and they look like the formulas are the same. I've been trying to reassure myself that I least I have a lavender/lilac coloured lipstick. I mentioned earlier in this thread that I have Mac Blooming Lovely from Liberty of London collection. It's more opaque and grayer than LW, but it's a little more pink when I use a pink liner underneath so I suppose it's better than nothing. Besides it's probably not a colour I'd reach for as often as my other lipsticks. So I'm going to spend the money on Eclair p/p instead. I was afraid it might be similar to Maybelline colour tattoo in On and On Bronze (UK name)/ Bad to the Bronze (US name), but it's just too gorgeous to care lol. Thank you everyone for your help and advice, I'm so happy I joined Specktra! :)

I'm just realizing that LW is drying. It doesn't feel dry on, but I'm getting the parched lined pruney lips. I guess I'll have to wear a primer or exfoliate more. Still love it though. I wore it today with the quite cute quad.
