No way - nail polish is so obviously some toxic stuff, so wanting something pure and natural is common sense. I bet it'll eventually happen.
I tell myself at least I'm still writing!
I definitely get less done when I'm waiting for my nails to dry.
The Lippmann one is good, but make sure to keep it closed tightly and wipe off the top of the bottle regularly to help it close tightly. Mine started to get kind of ropey after less than a year - not thicker, just sort of stringy and hard to apply. I've used the Butter top coat - didn't care for it. It changed texture after only a few months and would wreck ever mani. It was better than Seche Vite, but wasn't exactly worth the money either. I dunno, I've just had such bad luck with Butter. I only have a few, but each one had serious issues, so I gave up before I got started with 'em, sorry to say.
I've switched to Sephora by OPI for base and top coats (not the all-in-one one) and I've been very satisfied with them so far. The base coat is even smoother than the Lippmann ridge filler (which was unexpected) and they haven't changed texture yet, so that's a good sign!
When it comes to the CG Jellies - you could totally skip a base coat if you wanted!
My mom puts little soaps in all the wool sweaters and lingerie too, for the same reason! She's a little weird, but not for that
