Mineralize lipsticks, at $22 ea., have more lipstick by weight than the regular ones, 0.14 oz.

The regular lipsticks are $15 for 0.1 oz.

0.14 oz. of regular lipstick would cost $21.

Thus the Mineralize lipsticks are actually only $1 more expensive.

This is exactly how I thought of it when the mineralize lippies came out. So you're only paying $1 extra for the nice mineral formula (which I really do love). The rest of the price increase is just because it's 40% larger than a normal MAC lipstick.

All I know is that the ones from Apres Chic were $23.50 (before February obviously.) It's ridiculous to have a $1.50 increase in less than 6 months.

Okay then that makes sense. IIRC, the mineralize products saw the biggest price hike this last time around! I probably should've stocked up on my mineral essentials before that, but oh well... c'est la vie.
