I got the quad...I just haven't had a chance to use it yet! I'm feeling a little bit of product overload right now lol. So many untouched items...still haven't tried all of my TR items yet!

I wasn't planning on picking up anything from this collection but ugh, Flamingo looks soo soft and pretty on you and you're my same skin tone. So lazy. Must. put on. pants. for. MAC LIPSTICK.i'm being lazy & posting the screenshot to my YouTube video (sorry!), but I wanted to share bc I'm wearing Royal Sunset blush & Flamingo lipstick.. I'm in love, I wasn't sure how well Royal Sunset would show up on my NC40 skintone so I took a risk & it's really pigmented & pretty.. this is just one layer! Also I'm obsessed with how Sushi Kiss looks on since seeing it back on camera, I'm definitely backing up a few of SK, Flamingo & SS on Thurs when I pick up Razzledazzler.

Tell him to go eat a Cheeto.I wore sushi kiss to my parents house yesterday and my younger brother took one look at me and said "Jen...did you eat Cheetos?" Cheetos?! Thanks! Not the look I was going for.maybe it was my fault for not putting balm on my lips beforehand. :/

I just did a manicure with Sweet Pop - this color is soooooooo beautiful and unique. I've got some other peachy colored polishes but they all look too loud and obnoxious when compared to SP, which is still bright and adorable, but also sophisticated too. I only wish the color had come out earlier in the spring, because it's the most perfect sweet spring peach you could imagine. I didn't have much issue with the formula - it feels a little gelatinous - you have to have plenty of it on your brush or it tugs and streaks, but it has really top notch self leveling ability, so if you do get a patchy spot, you can dab a little blob right on it and it will smooth perfectly into the rest of the layer. The second coat evened everything out and it's very glossy on its own, but I would wait a little longer than normal before doing a lot of things - it seems to cure a little slowly so it could possibly dent for longer than some other polishes.

everyone looks SO beautiful. I love this collection. I am totally returning Immortal Flower. It is so 'blah' on my NW20 skin. I bought 2 flamingos directly from Mac, so just waiting to pick those up from home. I dragged myself in for the launch and ended up getting Royal Sunset and Sushi Kiss. I couldn't believe that I looked good in Sushi Kiss. If I wasn't asked to try it on, I never would have touched it. Sweet and Sour, the color I had been so excited for, made me look suuuuuuper cheap. It was horrible on me.

Thanks for offering, anyway. In person, I wasn't sure about HJ (although I liked it more once I got out into daylight, so I may go back for it). In the end, I let myself be persuaded into getting RS. From swatches, I thought it was just 'meh', but I put it on when I got home, and I really like it.
I also got TT, SS, and RD. I tried to take pics with SS and RS, but my iPhone was pulling really cold, and I couldn't get a single picture with my proper camera in which I didn't look drunk/sweaty/borderline psychotic (the heat really doesn't agree with me.)

You'd be surprised - I thought it was pretty wild and crazy looking on me in the store lighting, but when I wore it at home in the evening, it looked fabulous and not particularly shocking at all. I think it's its translucent quality…soft ambient lighting won't just bounce right off the top surface but will let the eye see a mixture of the color combined with your natural lip color peeking from underneath. It's less yellow than something like Sheer Manderin Sheen Supreme, and also deeper, but if you can't stand Sheer Mandarin, you might not be too keen on TD.
Also, for everyone asking, I bought the quad, but I haven't worn it yet, because I'm getting over an allergic reaction to some meds that among other things, made my eyes swell painfully. It's definitely a quad for people for whom grey shadow can run too blue - the shades have a perfect amount of warmth to them to be flattering without actually reading as warm. I have very few grey shadows because they often run too cool and make me look like a ghoul, so this quad was worth it for me, but if you don't have picky issues with greys or already have a ton of grey shadow, it could be a skip. The pigmentation on all the colors is excellent, btw - not a ringer in the bunch.

LMAO!! That was a good one! Okay, just maybe, this is her favorite lipstick and since it does not come around often, she has to stock up. LMAO!!I tried everything on at my counter this morning and only walked away with Flamingo. On my NC45 skin all of the others were a complete and utter fail. IMO lip liners and glosses should be optional. I don't like when I have to "transform" lipsticks because I'm not carrying 3/4 products with me on a regular basis for touch-ups.
In other news, the MAC store in my area sold out in 13 minutes. I was at the Dillard's counter on the Westbank when an artist called in and asked how many Flamingo's they had. The MUA that was helping me told them they had 5. While I was checking out (with my 1 Flamingo), this old lady (like seriously 70) walked in and asked for all the Flamingo's in stock. *sigh* I gave her a serious side-eye.Old bitty...supplementing her Social Security with MAC lipsticks...smh.

thanks for your thoughts on the quad. it looks so pretty....i might try and catch that one in the CCO's. i hadn't heard of any dupes for the LE shades, and already own typographic. if i buy it at a CCO, i can just about justify having a duplicate eyeshadow

I was looking through my orange lippies..now im wondering if any of these mac ones are close enough to the ones I already have..what do you ladies think, any of these seem almost dupes? since i'd be b2m for a few so I need to be sure of my choices which are sk, ss, tt, rd. I threw in flamingo in the swatches just for the heck of it lol..

my makeupforever n41 is def a dupe for razzle-dazzle, and neon orange forget it my milani sweet necter, mandarin mandarin , and muf #40 dupes. I still may keep neon orange, but razzle dazzle is a return.

Imagine the utopia we would have if ebay bulk buyers didn't do such things. That way, "the look" would be a look of "Daaaaaamn, girl knows what she likes!" vs. a look of judgement that might be unfounded. (Not that I am saying it wasn't likely totally founded!). I felt like that was me when I was first in line at Macys & bought 3 of the 5 FM powders & the youngsters behind me gave me that look. But I really wanted mine for my lock box & not ebay

Thanks Liba! You're too sweet.I usually think of Flamingo as a nice, useful color for everyday stuff, but I have to say YOU make it look EXCITING! If I had to pick only one person on here as the Queen of Flamingo, it'd have to be you. That looks seriously fantastic.

I'm so bummed, it turns out that Nordsroms had cancelled my flamingo! Boo! Now I have to try to get one tomorrow. Hopefully they'll take a phone order!
