So here is the pic I took today wearing Sushi Kiss. I'm wearing Royal Sunset blush, which I love. I felt like such a dork sitting on my front patio taking
this picture and hoping none of my neighbors noticed!

I've got a new friend who is a photographer - if we get together, I'll make sure to get her to snap a few quickies with me in the sort of makeup I like best! For now, just think Tura Satana for the liner

I tried Sweet and Sour and it a pale nude on me too. The girl at the counter gave me Ravishing to try and it looked much better, it didn't wash me out so much so I took that one instead!
Really??? That's actually my favorite one!! It's a bold coral on me & I love it!!

Thank you Icecarmellatte---Royal Sunset was a royal surprise--I love it and I hope you're able to get it too!
I think Flamingo is my love of the week lol. I realized I hadn't given it any love since I swatched it so I tossed it on real quick after I got home from the gym (hence the no makeup pic lol). Such an easy color to put on and go! Might have a little bu skippers remorse lol

medgal - what are your thoughts on the rainy season quad? how would you say it compares (on your skintone...which is not far from my own) to the all woman quad? and the grey one from mac me over?

I need advice! I tried flamingo. I love the color but it looks streaky and settles in my lip lines :( Does anyone know any way of making it work? Also, now I'm weary of trying out my other goodies (SS, RD & SK). Ay thoughts on which one to try next? I am NC20. TIA!

@lc Balthazar. Have you tried priming? Also doing a layer of lippy, blot and then another layer?... Also remember to mosturize before you prime too... Just my thought... -Emma

Aradhana! This is merely my lay perspective. I really like the RSQ but if I had to pick one over
the other it would be AWQ. That said, the grey shades in both quads work well with my skin tone-
--the accompanying shades also make a difference and render a dissimilar look. I prefer the
general look that I get with the AWQ, but I like the RSQ for alternatives/options. They were
different enough to warrant me having both. I also happen to have the Lady Grey quad
(depotted) from MAC Me Over. I haven't worn those shadows recently, but from what I recall
they provided a soft muted look, which I also enjoy. The limitations in any of these quads rests
with one's preferences, tastes, imagination and ability to work with the product.

AWQ RSQ
thanks medgal! you even provided a comparison pic!!!
i see how they have some similarities, esp that bottom left shade, yet i guess rsq has more of a 'grey' tone and awq more of a beige. i like the fact that rsq's lightest is less light than awq's...is that just the photo, or actual fact? i was most worried that the lighter greys would be too 'white' on my skin and therefore less useful to me...but at the time when i checked out awq i didn't have awq with me to compare.
the only downside is that i already own typographic. i'm going to have to go grapple with that for a while..... ;)

w/Em, but I would first add exfoliation to that. I started using The Lip Scrub by Sara Happ and it changed my 'lipstick life.' You can opt to
make your own at home, but this iteration works for me. I have it in Vanilla Bean. So, try exfoliating and then moisturize, prime, blot, apply lipstick,
blot, more lipstick as Em described. ENJOY your new lippies!!!
