MAC Tropical Taboo Collection (2013)

Alright i did a quick test-run with Carribbean to see if it was better applied on the eye than it swatched. I have Omega in the crease and the neon orange from Sleek Acid palette toned down on the lid and then i pressed Caribbean ontop of it. It is NOT working with me at all. I have glitter in my eye still, glitter on the waterline, glitter in my nose. I applied it on Nyx Milk with a brush that was soaked with mixing medium and the glitter is still everywhere. AHHHHHHHHHH!

Thank you so much for posting. This is definitely a skip for me. It reminds me of Semi-Precious' glittery mess, Quartz Fusion. A shame, because the color itself looks lovely. Meanwhile, Cha-Cha-Cha is an epic fail for me as well. The same blasted eyeshadow released three summers in a row under a different name. Blah!

Maybe I should try eyelash adhesive to fix them

I wore it a couple of times before realizing there was no hope for that one. There are too many good shadows for me to keep using ones that irritate my eyes like that did. The only really glittery MES I've bought since then was Young Punk, and I don't intend to buy any more like that either.

But you are right! Fortunatly there are many,many waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better eyeshadows with nice
textures and beautiful colors which are really fun to use

Ugh. I'm not so sure about this collection any more. Only Midnight Mambo and the 159 brush are definites for me at the moment.

Highly likelys:
- The MSFs (only if there isn't a speck of glitter in sight)
- Tropica and Time to Tango MES (provided they're not the same glittery mess as Caribbean)

Definitely maybes:
- Narcissus and Fever Isle CSGs.

My list is looking a lot like yours, except I adore Japanese Spring so I will be ordeing BU's of it. I too am torn about the lippies because I don't have any of the mineralize lipsticks yet I love orange and purple as well!

I haven't been in this thread in a while. Decided to click on it to briefly skim for anything new. Saw your post and quickly skipped my happy behind over to Nordstrom and ordered 2 Narcissus!

I'm so excited. I may go back for another BU, but I'll wait. I also picked up Have To Have It lip pencil. I have the other pencils and I already have Japanese Spring CSG. My list for this collection is smaller now. I think I've lost interest in the MES. I don't want to sneeze glitter like Honi, and the colors seem similar to MESs that I already have. I still want the 2 remaining CSGs, the 3 new MSFs, and the 159 brush. I'm undecided about the lipsticks. I haven't tried the Mineralize lipstick formula yet, but I like the purple and orange colors.

It's very pretty, but I can see this emphasising my pores... The blogger who swatched it doesn't seem to have these problems to worry about. Holy perfect skin...

The shade does remind me of the MSF Bonde, although it seems a little cooler. I still have tons left on that one from its original release.

That is why I swapped Petticoat to begin with. It looks like a fishscale cheek mess. I like glitter, I like shimmer, but I do not want to look like a fish. So, I am on the fence about the MSF now, all the way. I really want to try in person first, which means I am taking a chance they will sell out before I make up my mind.

justice. In a word, it's GORGEOUS! I'm facing a huge birthday in July so if I sneeze, regurgitate and even poop glitter, so be it! I've earned that
right! I rather like the formula of the MLs. I have three; Divine Choice, Lady at Play and Style Surge. I find them creamy, but not necessarily long-
wearing, but that doesn't bother me. I like the shape of the lipstick and the tubes are huge with magnetic closures. One down side is because of
their size, I have to store them with my Chanel & NARS lippies, separate from my general stash.

GORGEOUS! I'm facing a huge birthday in July so if I sneeze, regurgitate and even poop glitter, so be it! I've earned that right! I rather like the formula of the

I'm sure there are a lot more girls that have a thing for MSFs. How can you not they are gorgeous! Speaking about MSFs, I was actually very lucky, because I got my hands on a Perfect Topping BU

I think EE will be gorgeous on you! But on my light skin I don't think it will work. Ow well more money for BUs of the MSFs. This and Rihanna are the only collections left for the summer, so I don't feel too overwelmed. Most of the time August is a quiet month for Mac. The collections in that month are those with sets and they just don't excite me. The big fall collection always releases in September here, which is my bday month, so I have some extra money for it too.

I had this problem w Frost at Midnight from Après Chic. I have tried EVERYTHING to make that shadow show up but all that shows is the glitter, no real color. I've tried it wet, dry, w eye drops, w paint pots under, w Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy under, w finger, brushes, and sponge tips. Nothing works! It's a shame bc it's so pretty too

I wish I could afford more from this collection but unless they still launch it on the 4th, my bank account seems terribly rushed. Im new to the mineralized game therefore I'll be getting the 3 blushes, Rio, Midnight Mambo and probably cry over a few of the eyeshadows and lust....lol
