MAC All About Orange Collection (June 2013)

Okay, I've played around a little bit -- not too much!  Please excuse my hair and eyebrows that desparately need waxed and trimmed.  In all 3 pics I'm wearing Royal Sunset Blush with a bit of Honey Jasmine blush on top. Flamingo: Sweet & Sour: RazzleDazzler:

Now, IRL, Ripe For Love has the most shimmer; the other three have slight shimmer. Also worth noting is that in person, Frivole is a noticeable amount leaning pink than Honey Jasmine. I would say Frivole is closer to NYX Cinnamon than Honey Jasmine. They may look very similar in these pictures, and they are, but Honey Jasmine built up is more orange. Enough for me to justify having the two (I just put Honey Jasmine in my everyday makeup bag).

What's your coloring? I'm wondering if I could pull off a nude orange. I think I'm told I should be going nude peach rather than nude pink so orange couldn't be too far off, right?

I'm NC40, MUFE HD 153, NARS Barcelona. Now, my lips are really rosy in pigmentation, so I may need to work on prepping them for the lipstick, but Tangerine Dream is sheer enough that you get that hint of orange, but not a full-on explosion of creamy. I personally really like the yellow undertones on it; I think it adds dimension to my lips and makes TD interesting. I can try to swatch it on my lips later tonight but no promises.

Yay! They restocked on the Spanish MAC website and I grabbed Razzledazzler! I didn't think they'd restock so I wasn't on the lookout so I missed getting a backup of Flamingo and Sweet and Sour was sold out too. I'm on the fence about Tarte and Trendy as I worry it will look super orange and unnatural on me. Maybe it would be nice but as I can't try it on or send back I'm not as convinced. I've just noticed I've suddenly acquired quite a few coral/orange type lippies: Ravishing, Fashion City, Razzledazzler...

I had 11 lipsticks in that bag, including Razzledazzler. I was checking all of my Lustres at the time for snow, and then had set them aside in a bag to deal with later. Next thing I know, I couldn't find them. The bag has been missing for about 4 months. Yesterday it was just sitting there on the floor all out in the open. I looked down and there it was. I promise you it wasn't there before. I feel like little elves took it and then brought it back.

I think I will have to squeeze in a trip to NYC & the Times Square store to do some damage when I go visit a friend in Jersey next month. Not that I will NEED anything...it's just the principle lol

This is the box that my one Flamingo arrived in. My SO picked it up from our mailbox and opened it because he was concerned that I did some extreme hauling when I'm supposed to be saving money. Nothing but bubble wrap and a single tube of lipstick.

I just reorganised and I was reminded that I have way makeup that I could need in my lifetime. It's much easier to skip most of the new collections when I can remind myself that I have something similar. It works most of the time (kind of). ETA: w00t for my 500th post.
