MAC All About Orange Collection (June 2013)

this is gorgeous!

While searching for more Tart & Trendy swatches (alright, I admit it, I'm probably going to pick it up tomorrow instead of this end-of-the-week business), I saw this goooorgeous lip:



Credit goes to Instagram user lyndie_rig. Tags say Lasting Sensation & Chicory l/ls with Tart & Trendy and Myth l/s so, I guess this means I'm picking up Myth and Chicory liner along with T&T. Maybe Honeylove would be a good substitute.

I swatched a ton of peachy/coral and orange lippies to see if there were dupes as I suspected that we have seen these shades before with Jazzed, Ever Hip, etc. Not a dupe in the bunch except Pleasureseeker looked a little bit like Razzledazzler but RD was more intense (probly b/c PS is a glaze). I tried to take pics but could not do it because they were one arm and I couldn't get my cell phone to focus one-handed. Maybe I can try swatching on another body part again later.

Ones I swatched: Party Parrot, Ablaze, VG Cindi, Coral Polyp, Watch Me Simmer, Ever Hip, Jazzed, Fresh Salmon, Sail La Vie, Scarlet Ibis, Force of Love, RazzlerDazzler, Pleasureseeker, Reel Sexy.


What stood out for me in this little "test" was how weak the older colors were (Ever Hip, Jazzed, Fresh Salmon) etc. compared to these new mattes. Yes, I realize I did not include any of the new oranges from the AAO collection, but my point was, I skipped b/c I thought to myself, I have a ton of oranges. Yes, but NOT LIKE these newer ones in the formula. Albaze, PaPa, WMS, Nicki, and Sail La Vie really stood out for me. So, if you skipped (like me) because you thought you had lots of orange, you may be having to search around and get these in the clearance bin (or God forbid, Ebay or MUA)

This is the box that my one Flamingo arrived in. My SO picked it up from our mailbox and opened it because he was concerned that I did some extreme hauling when I'm supposed to be saving money. Nothing but bubble wrap and a single tube of lipstick.

Ha! Joke's on him. Now every time you get a medium or large box in the mail, maybe he'll think there's just one lonely tube of lipstick inside. It would serve him right for opening your mail!

For those of you who may remember, I finally found my missing bag of Lustre lipsticks last night! :cheer: :yahoo: arty2: I had 11 lipsticks in that bag, including Razzledazzler. I was checking all of my Lustres at the time for snow, and then had set them aside in a bag to deal with later. Next thing I know, I couldn't find them. The bag has been missing for about 4 months. Yesterday it was just sitting there on the floor all out in the open. I looked down and there it was. I promise you it wasn't there before. I feel like little elves took it and then brought it back.

I think ur piles of np were in the way lol glad u found them CC!!
