My local stand-alone MAC store said Topical Taboo will be released next Thursday, 27 June. When i went in yesterday, they didn't have the display up yet for testing in the back room. Tomorrow, they told me, so tomorrow i'll be there to swatch...

I actually went in to buy some permanent products. I wanted Vino lip pencil for Deeply Adored, but they had only gotten two in and both were already gone. I also decided i needed some matte or matte-ish medium grey eyeshadows for the crease and the V, so i got Copperplate and Scene, to go along with Groundcover which i already had. And i got Pearl Cream Color Base - my first CCB - which i need to begin experimenting with.

Aw, shucks, golly gee, MAC has its hands in our wallets every month.

They wanted us to go broke in April, too:
4 April - Fashion Sets 2013
9 April - Hayley Williams - on-line only
11 April - In Extra Dimension
18 April - Baking Beauties

And May wasn't time to slouch, either:
1 May - Art of the Eye
4 May - RiRi MAC initial release - shows and on-line only
16 May - Marilyn - Macy's exclusive

23 May - Temperature Rising (boy, did i buy from that collection)

This month it's "just":
6 June - All About Orange

18 June - RiRi MAC summer collection - on-line only (& i know not everyone has recovered from that fiasco)
20 June - Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow (perm)
22 June - Nudes & Metallics - Pro Only (or whenever they decide to release it)

27 June - Tropical Taboo

July may be a bit of a breather - i've got only one collection on my calendar, although i could have missed something. But i know of 4 or 5 collections scheduled for August.

MAC has been doing this for years. I went back through many makeup boards when i was trying to record all the MAC collections that have come out in the past 7 years or so. And people have always been complaining about how MAC releases way too many collections too close to each other. Three or four collections a month is pretty much par for the course.

Im getting the three blushes, midnight mambo, rio, lust and I was gonna pick up gold deposit because Ive lust after that msf for a long time but it has now been demoted and replaced by the 159 brush in an attempt to avoid skippers remorse :/....dammit and I wanted to pick up the Anastasia Beverly Hills "Catwalk" palette

I got a sneak peak of the MSFs today at my local Mac. One (maybe rio) was a metallic pink with pink glitter, not my favorite. The other two: adored and maybe lust were beautiful high shine/ metallic, and I didn't notice any glitter. They were both peachy and looked similar to each other at a quick swatch and glance. I can't wait to play with them more when they launch and get the brush too.

That would be Time to Tango!

Rio and Lust look pretty similar just looking at the pans, but they apply very differently.

Definitely Bossa Blue - you can see the brown part of it in her crease.

My best guess is those cheeks are Simmer.
Liba, are either of these (Rio/Lust) glittery?

I'm an NC35... Which you recommend for me from the collection?
I dont know if you will find this helpful but someone asked the same question a few pages back she was an NC37 and this is what Liba responded..... :)

"As for the MSFs, you could definitely do Rio and Lust and maybe even Adored if you don't mind a very strong contrast to your highlighter, but I wouldn't use these MSFs as a blush or an all-over highlighter or powder unless you are ready to look like a metallic disco lady. I guess I got shocked by this collection because MAC's collections were getting softer and more natural looking, especially in the face powder and blush department and BOOM, these products are much more fantasy-oriented. It's good to know that going in.

As for blushes for you, you might be able to get away with all 3 of them. If you have to make a short list, Sweet Samba or Simmer would be the safer bets. I don't even understand what's up with Exotic Ember. I figure the white undertone on that is due to the minerals they make the blush itself out of, rather than just the color mix. I don't think it'll be too white for you if you find one with plenty of the brown in it, but be aware that the brown part is much more sparkly than the orange part on that one."

That's what I'm saying.  They still haven't refunded my money for my first RiRi order and my two lippies have the nerve to be on BO.  Do I want to give them more of my money??? But still I came on here to see if I should get any of the MSFs, I'm jut not sure which one (or two lol) would be best for my NW45/NC50 skintone  I am going to order that duo fiber set from RT tomorrow actually.  I have the other two sets and for BOGO I figured I should pick that up along with the travel set.  I love their brushes.  As a newbie I only have 1 MAC and its a brow brush that I use for my dipdown.  I had a set but I lost it in one of my moves but that 159 looks divine.  I know I definitely want two Heroine liners though because I only got the lipstick with FS
Who is doing BOGO? I need to pick up the travel set. The duo fiber set is pretty disappointing just to forewarn you- they all feel cheap and flimsy IMO.

Ugh, I want this collection to release online already!!! If they don't do it soon, I'll probably just make the trek to the store next Thursday.
