RiRi Hearts MAC Summer Collection (June 18, 2013)

My RiRi s MAC stuff arrived yesterday. I don't normally screw my lipsticks all the way up. But i did - after everything i've been hearing - and it's cool enough here that i wasn't worried about them being melted. My RiRi Boy and my Heaux were perfectly fine and the bullets looked fine. Whew! dodged that (MAC) bullet!

I'm actually a bit disappointed with RRB - it's nice and all, but i think i'd have been happier with Up the Amp. As i've said in other threads, i'm not a huge matte fan - it felt ok, but i just wasn't mad for the matte look - i have Heroine and Strong Woman, and i think i'd rather have had a satin/creme type finish on this. Oh, well, that's one of the things that gloss is for...

Heaux on the other hand is gorgeous! I was afraid it would just be another plum, but i think it looks really good on me, for a red, and that was what i was hoping - darker and bluer than Deeply Adored. I'm so very happy with it.

Barbados Girl Lustre Drops are really nice. A little darker than i thought - so that's better for WoC (which i'm not). But it is a beautiful rose gold. And i know i'll make use of it.

Overall, i'm satisfied with my order. And i'm lucky not to have a melted or broken lipstick or a lipstick with, uh, a separating formula.

Try a berry liner like MAC's VINO to make Heaux more berry toned. That is what I have to do.

MAC just called me about the broken RRB situation. Supervisor named Tess said that they are waiting for upper management to approve reships and are hoping to receive an answer within a couple of days. I was assured that I will get a follow up call to let me know when to expect my replacement lipstick and if in the meantime I have any questions I could call back go speak with her or any other supervisor. Hopefully this is moving in the right direction.

I was always told "sometime next week" when I placed my original calls last week. I know they also said that the normal 24-48 hr time frame wasn't the same this time due to the volume of calls about canceled orders and the such...but everyone was told something different.

I was also told 24-48 hours. I still haven't gotten a call.
they also were suppose to ship out my prep and prime from a cancelled order on Monday... and its wed now.. shipment was created Monday at 11pm, and is still sitting IDK where (there hasn't been progress on the package)

Looks like a lot of broken promises to go along with the broken lipsticks. :/ Hopefully they are working on resolutions plus fixing the online launches.

It might work. I didn't do it to get attention...didn't really expect them to even notice it. I was just voicing my displeasure without a full on rant like some tweets I saw...and was surprised when MAC tweeted me to email them because they wanted to help lol.

Late to the party but I finally have a RiRi Woo! She is one unforgiving lipstick, that's for sure - but I have a feeling she'll wear like iron. Looking forward to trying it on with a proper face and outfit, lol.
