Sagehen, Naked Deep Dark is awesome on the lid! It's a great nude, since we're skin twins and all lol

OOH good - glad to hear someone cosign on this. Have you tried Naked Dark? I grabbed that one too, though if I don't like I will give to my sister, who is a bit lighter than I am.

No, it seemed too light for me. Sorry I can't help you there!

With Naked Deep Dark, I can put it all over the lid and just walk out the door or I use it as a base and add a contour for a sultry nude look if that makes sense haha

Ugghhh!!! All this pics with RiRi Boy are so gorgeous and I am so jealous that I have to wait until Mid-July!!!!!

Anywho, I finally took a pic of me wearing my RiRi Woo. Am I the only one not satisfied with how much this lippie transfers to other stuff? I am used to my matte's staining my lips and not transferring alot. But this is my first matte with MAC. Is this normal for their lippies or is this happening because it's retro matte? Excuse the shine and baby face on the side. I was just getting home from work..LOL
Well it's not a no-transfer lipstick or labeled as a long wear (maybe that's what some of the mattes you are used to are...). I haven't noticed it transferring in any abnormal manner...maybe someone else will chime in on this
Yeah none of the traditional lipsticks are labeled as transfer-resistant. You will have less transfer with mattes and retro mattes than with other formulas tho.
Okay... 'scuse the rest of the photo.  But here is me and RRW.  'Scuse the lighting -- cloudy, rainy day and it was difficult to find good light.
:thud: this is definitely your red honey!

It's not hard to take off, but it doesn't wipe off as easily as other lipstick formulas. I like using a makeup wipe b/c it stains my lips. Dragging a dry ass piece of tissue across it just isn't smart for me. Interesting. I've worn the lipstick at least a dozen times since I've had it and I still marvel at nothing being on my straw when I have a latte. It's like, oh I'm going to Starbucks let me put on RRW. Even my mother noticed it didn't leave a trace.
Maybe it depends how far you are in your wear time? When I'm a few hours in I definitely have little to no color showing up on a straw but if it's in the first hour or so then yes...it shows. Nothing major but it's there. Then again that may be because I prep my lips with my Jack Black a little while before applying. Again, it doesn't come off my lips in a way that it looks like I need a touch up or anything. It just shows up on a straw enough to know that I used that straw lol

Oh yeah maybe so. On that picture I took I had already had it on for 4 hours already.

I can do that with Naked Dark (and Glimpse of Flesh which I really wish I had backed up!). I need to get Deep Dark...skipped that one and just got Naked and Naked Dark.

I've had something to drink at all different points of wear time. Perhaps using Prep+Prime helps. Jack Black probably gives the lipstick some slip.

Not really...I put it on about 15 minutes before applying a lipstick...and blot it off before actually applying. I really only use it to soften my lips if I'm applying a lipstick but don't want it left on if it will affect the texture of a lippie (like a matte). But maybe the PP is the difference.

So i get an email from MAC telling me to call about one of my orders that has been wrongfully cancelled. This order was for my sister and had hibiscus kiss in it. They connected me to a supervisor fairly quickly and she told me they will ship out hibiscus kiss overnight and they will ship out the lipsticks as soon as they get shipment in.
I hope I get one of those soon. I've called them pretty much every day for a status update on my cancelled order and one that they claimed they would get out to me quickly.

so that's why they haven't gotten back to Me. I called on the 24th and she said 48 hours called again today and shes said another 24 to 48 hours. She could have just said they're waiting on more product.

I'd like to know if P&P would/could indeed make a difference. The one and only time I wore RRW I happened to wear P&P with it.

I will call MAC tomorrow to see if a decision has been made about my cancelled orders. If they follow through with backorders, that will salvage a piece of my sanity that was lost during the launch. I really, really want all of my cancelled orders, too!

I have an extra HK as the original CP decided it's no longer a must have for her. It's coming from the EU so the cost will be a little more, plus shipping. If anyone is interested, send me a PM.

Red is become my favorite lip color, followed by (gasp!) purple. I'm going on vacation soon and I've grabbed all of the lipsticks that I'm considering taking with me and so far I have about 16 lippies - and more than half of them are reds! I'm having trouble narrowing it down.

I like Heaux but the berry is not showing up as much as I'd hoped. I came across a WNW Fergie lippie earlier this week (#041) that is the berry I wish that Heaux was on me. I'm going to try the suggestion to line with Vino to help bring more berry out of Heaux.

I think prep and prime makes a difference! you just have to let it get tacky for a minute or 2 and it keeps my lips from getting dry ! I love it

My RRW BU arrived yesterday. I thought I'd take a peek BEFORE I put it in the fridge. I was like, "Please don't be broken! Please don't be broken! Please don't be broken!" and it wasn't... but it arrived with a thick white waxy coat on the side. My Oh, Oh, Oh BU was perfectly fine though, so I'm guessing it's the formula? I'm a bit behind on this thread again, but from what I've read so far, I'm not the only one who received a lipstick like this. It looks like some kind of wax or grease?

WTF, MAC?

Haha, thank you! You think so? I'm a bit unsure about it. I guess I find it quite bright, but that's just a classic red, isn't it? I do love the retro-matte formula though. It didn't feel at all drying on my lips, which is impressive considering I have dry lips.
