I caved and picked up Simmer when I stopped by my MAC counter today to get Heroine l/l. The bottom swatch is the 2 colors mixed. Wish the MAC site had fixed the "coming soon" situation so I could have used my pro discount lol. But because of Ernie I caved and ordered Adored, Lust, and the 159 brush (did that before I went to the MAC counter). Went ahead and paid for overnight shipping (kinda sad that the pros get excluded in that code!) so I wouldn't have to worry about the holiday next week messing things up. Fingers crossed I manage to get it tomorrow since I ordered so early in the morning.

I didn't care for it either. I'm glad I just got Adored. It's the best of the lot (for my skintone at least).

Maybe Macy's just didn't get the memo because my Dillard's had it out. For whatever random reason my Macy's doesn't carry MAC (they suck!)

Finally opened my Narcissus today and I am in LOVE! It's so creamy and smooth and has so much awesomeness! (This eye look is not for the lippie lol I just wanted to hurry try it on)

Time to tango... I don't even know how what to call the two separate colors lol but from left to right is each swatched and then blended! It's verrrrrrry sparkly... That's why I bought it but if you don't like sparkle, this isn't for you!

Nothing at all to do with the topic at hand, but I know my fellow board moms will get it. My 18 year-old daughter is graduating from high school today and asked me to do her makeup for her. I offered to pick up the cost of having it done at MAC, but she preferred me to do it.

We spent a solid 40 minutes playing with red liners and the many many red lippies in the house to Frankenlip just the right colour and finish for her black and white dress. Now, I'm no MUA but I'm thrilled to bits that my late adolescent daughter still is happy to spend part of her special day with me and trusts me to create a look she's happy with (unlike the MAC artist who caked on foundation that was a very poor colour match).

Off to have fun with my 'baby' whose been taller than me for at least five years.

Just came back from the store. MM is a touch darker than FMP on me. Tropica looks very seafoamish

EE is an interesting shade but I dig it. Sweet Samba is gorgeous and Simmer has a nice hue to it but not as much in love with it as I am SS.

Rio is pretty but not what I thought it would be, Adored is a nice peachy shade on me and LUST!!! I love Lust. Pics coming soon!

Thanks for confirming that I should just skip Rio. But I was wondering, what kind of colour payoff does Lust have on you? Is it more a highlighter or can it pass as a blush on you?

I just swatched Lust on my hand; it was too sparkly for me to even want it on my face. I'm wearing Rio right now and it certainly puts down colour on me. I wouldn't wear it as a blush because it has too strong a shine for my own personal tastes, but I could from a colour perspective.
