I often rely on Temptalia for swatches, even though i know she's a completely different color than i am. But i also notice how often she's wearing colors on lips, cheeks, and eyes that do NOT go together and that detract from whichever product she's reviewing.

yes it picks up alot of the pink and it's like a silvery pink and I have warm tones in my skin

i just went to mac and i swached lust msf and simmer blush and saw that they looked similar what do u guys think

I went to Macy's I double check and they did not have this collection out not the VP eyeshadow collection. I went to Nordies and tried on MM I like it alot still wearing it . but I wanted to use my macys card so I guess I'll wait a week! I got FI and totally caved on Tropica! it was too pretty to pass up lol

Well, if they are MAC colors, they are most likely from the same collection so they really should go together! If they don't, you should blame MAC

When she wears other brands, I think she is just multi-tasking and trying to swatch/review/test multiple products at the same time. I try not to hold it against her

Erin you are right! Adored does resemble Readhead, Adored is ever so slightly duochromish on me.

I wouldn't reccomend it for LDs. I feel like it'll apply it very patchy and not blend it out all that great like a 188 would because it's denser. But definitely give it a try and see what happens.

Yay, Mr UPS man just dropped off my order! I picked up all 3 MSF's, the 159, and 2 of the blushes, Simmer and Sweet Samba. Can I just say... HOLY FREAKING PIGMENTATION, BATMAN! .

Thoughts: The MSFs are a little powdery, but I am fair enough (approx NC20) that I can use Rio and Lust for blushes/highlights. Adored is just going to be a highlight for me. They are all gorgeous. I put on Simmer, then put a little bit of Lust over it and it created just this gorgeous effect. Loving!!



The 159 is totally awesome for the MSFs. Since its duo fiber, it won't pick up too much product and make me look like I rolled around on the floor of a glitter factory. I'm gonna try it for the blushes too. I think because the blushes are so pigmented, it'll work really well. I put Simmer on with a regular Crown blush brush, and it just picked up WAY too much product. I had to buff it out a lil with my MSF Natural because it looked a little scary.

Loving this collection, but I think I am going to impose No Buy July on myself, because between RiRi and Tropical Taboo, my makeup budget is gone. Heck, it may turn into No Buy August and September as well.

As i said, there i was, sitting on the bench in our nice balmy weather today, waiting for my local MAC to open. One of the MUA inside saw me and we waved to each other. Then a young woman with a sweet calm baby in a car seat/carrier arrived. She'd been waiting with me for the All About Orange collection, too. We were the only two.

I had previously swatched everything on my arm but Lust, which they didn't have at the time. So I did know which eye shadows i wanted.

And I think the blushes spoke for themselves through my swatching. For me - Neutral, between 15 & 20 - Exotic Ember was a total skip. Both Simmer and Sweet Samba would work on me, with a light hand. Simmer when blended looks nothing like it does in the pan; it is a beautiful warm rose with gold sheen. Sweet Samba is a strong cool pink, muted by the beige. Which of the two to get? What a dilemma!

The MSFs really needed to be tested on my face, which i couldn't do during my swatching. I didn't bother testing Adored. But should i get Rio or Lust? I put one on each cheek - and i still couldn't decide. I took a hand mirror and went out into the sun, so i could get the full effect of the duo-color sheens.

I finally made up my mind:

On-line i had ordered
Tropica e/s
Time to Tango e/s
Dare to Bare e/s
159 brush

And in the shop i got:
Sweet Samba blush - with lots of beige
Adored MSF
Lust MSF

I still liked Simmer and Rio, but i really blew out my wallet on Temperature Rising, and In Extra Dimension, and some non-MAC stuff (and too many smaller MAC purchases), so i'm trying to be strong and not go back for them...
