Collection Superstition (Fall 2013)

Yesterday i purchased the quad, the eyeliner, and gris gris single eyeshadow. I passed on the lippies as I have over 100 as it is and I know I have something similar in my stash. Love the quad the most and can't wait to play with it.

For the Ladies who bought the quad - do you like it? How is the application? What do you think about the colours on someone as light as me (NC 15)? I can't somehow make up my mind about it. Sometimes I think it's such a classic with a twist that I absolutely have to have it and sometimes it seems just meh. Help?

I just tested Alchimie nail polish in store. It really didn't appeal to me. Maybe bc I'm so in love with Peridot.

I ended up just with Fantastic and it is absolutely stunning!!  However, there was a new person working at my counter and tried to tell me that everything in the fall collection was limited edition and that I should buy it all.  Crazy!  I'm going back for esprit as soon as I can.  

I love fantastic too! I swatched it at the store before I bought it and it was still on my hand the next day after shower, amazing staying power! I also love destiny, not much talk of it! I am loving it for such a nice summer glow! has anyone else tried/bought?

At the moment, the absolute must-haves for me are Gri-Gri and Esprit. I'm also tempted by Hasard, although I'll wait to see the payoff. I know I'll end up trying at least one of the blushes, if only to compare them to Dior.

I finally saw this collection today and decided to wait. Everything was so dark and I'm in summer mode right now. I hope this collection doesn't sell out fast. They didn't have Gri Gri and I'm pretty sure I want that one.

Edit - But I think every line is putting out its fall stuff so I guess I better get with the program.

I ordered the quad but won't get it until Monday. I was sold on it as soon as I saw ADs for it. The colors just spoke to me. Happy to report back after Monday.

This is definitely a very dark collection, I like the Alchimie polish but it's not a summer color, I'm not going to wear it again until it gets closer to Fall. I don't think anyone has to follow any seasonal color rules, that's just me I like to be in brights in the summer. I think the lip colors and blushes are more versatile but the nail polishes and eye products definitely don't feel summery. Sometimes I wish companies would wait a little more to put out their seasonal stuff so that it matches better

I finally got around to wearing Présage and I'm in love. It is SUPER pigmented and just beautiful. I actually squealed at how pigmented it is, and thought I had used too much. I applied it with my MAC 130 brush, stippling first and then blending. I topped it with Perfection Lumiére and the outcome was nothing short of perfection. I'm so excited to try Fantastic next, yet concerned that my love for these may send me back to Chanel to purchase others.

For me, Khaki---tan or green are alternative summer colors. I love a crisp white shirt w/a green or tan khaki skirt, shorts or slacks with bold gold
jewelry---super chic & sexy. Add to that, neutral eye makeup (the quad can provide that nicely) with a bold lip and it's ON!!! This is an amazing look
where I live. Oh and don't forget the tan kitten heel Jimmy Choo sandals.

I tried Presage again the other day and it worked out much better than the first time. I used a really small Mac stippling brush. Still, I prefer Fantastic by a mile!

Full disclosure, I like to remove the hair on my face and I was due for a waxing. :lol: That may have been the problem. I tested presage on my bare face, so that didn't help either. At least when I tried Fantastic, I had foundation on. Why do I have hairs on my cheeks? Like, why? :lol:

Ha! There's nothing to it, really. I did it for awhile. Now, though I actually use a cream to remove the hair.
