So, MAC finally called me back about my cancelled order. They woke me up at 8 am on a Sunday to help me place an order for the lipsticks. :/ I said no thanks, I only wanted to lustre drops (which are sold out and they can't help me with).

I just got this in the mail and I have to say "poke me with a fork because I am done". MAC is too busy trying to justify bad service. This woman did not listen to a word I said. I find her tone condescending. I just de-stashed 70-80% of the MAC I had to one of our members and will likely do more. I will also re-evaluate my other EL brand purchases and probably de-stash most of those as well. I will keep the couple of basics that I love. I am not going to rule out future purchases but they will have to be pretty special. I know that EL doesn't care about one customer but I am sure I am not the only one. And even if they don't care, I will know why. You can't insult your best customers and my family at Specktra and not have consequences.

Dear April,

I apologize that you found our email to be insulting, as that was never our intention. You are a valued customer and I appreciate the additional opportunity to respond further to your concerns.

Thank you for allowing me to explain that the RiRi Hearts MAC Summer Collection could not be accessed by going to any publicly displayed page on our Web site. It was through a link that was posted online that customers were able to access and purchase the RiRi Hearts MAC Summer Collection prior to its official launch. This link was not posted nor sanctioned by MAC Cosmetics. As per our site’s terms and conditions, section 10;

“Your linking to or from any off-website pages or other websites is at your own risk. We are in no way responsible for examining or evaluating, and we do not warrant the offerings of, off-website pages or any other websites linked to or from the Site, nor do we assume any responsibility or liability for the actions, content, products, or services of such pages and websites, including, without limitation, their privacy policies and terms and conditions. You should carefully review the terms and conditions and privacy policies of all off-website pages and other websites that you visit.”

It is very unfortunate that this occurred and we are sorry that loyal MAC customers may have been unwittingly been involved in a situation that resulted in the cancellation of a much desired shipment. We understand that the decision to cancel orders that were placed prior to the launch has caused disappointment for those who followed a posted link, and for this we are truly sorry. We appreciate your understanding that this action was taken in an effort to maintain fairness for all MAC fans and to allow everyone the same opportunity to purchase the collection.

We are sorry for any disappointment or frustration that has been caused and we thank you for reaching out to share your experience with us.

Best regards,

Julia Nielsen

I'm happy to see that so many orders have been shipped! The order that I placed on the 19th for 1 Heaux is pending and the order that I placed on the 21st for 1 Heaux still says backordered. I hope they ship soon as I would love for them to arrive in time for my birthday so I can wear it on Friday.

f JULIA! Smh! Again the point is not that the link was the posted, the point was THEY HAD A link that was not secured that allowed people to think it was legit and posted by a blogger who also clearly thought it was legit. It's not like they didnt notice that link the next morning I'm for sure they saw it active that night. Again, customer relations needs to stop making it seem like we infiltrated some System *rolls eyes* and then to run you that paragraph that they probably implemented the day after it happened.... Girl bye! I wish I was a lawyer y'all! I would def just bring some type of case up even if for nothing just to get the noise out that they are being unruly.

My back order is shipped but am wondering now if I receive a lipstick with that waxy/fatty material is it still safe to use? I read some previous threads that some of you are cleaning it off with alcohol and such. Sorry if it's been answered but does anyone know what the stuff is?

I bought a Gladiola a few months back, I got it in the mail and it had the same kind of stuff on the side of the tube. Like a wax or some kind of goo on the side. I was like WTF, very angry because the seller didn't mention it, I paid more than retail and I was literally wondering what the heck they did to this lipstick. Anyway, here is what the Gladiola looked like when I received it:

So I emailed the seller and we worked out a resolution and I kept the lipstick, too. I just sanitized the crap out of it with alcohol, wiped off a few layers, and it seems fine now. It still has the vanilla scent. It's not like I can go out and get another Gladiola replacement, but I just thought it was the seller's misguidance for the sale. Now with all of the Riri lipsticks popping up, I'm curious about what causes the lipsticks to get this wax coat on them.

WTF RiRi? Tried to use RRW today (from the first launch) and it kinda broke. This was going to be the 4th use. It came up out of the tube and wouldn't wind back down. I ended up stuffing it back down into the tube, but I don't know if it will hold. That's a bunch of BS!

It might just be the dry matte formula,I had that happen to my ruby woo that is 2 years old....just a thought This has probably already been mentioned but with these matte lippies you have to roll it up just enough for you to be able to apply.this is what a mua told me because I told her about my broken ruby woo.
