I picked up my items this morning and was able to chose the patterns I wanted!

The Adored and Rio on the left are my BUs. They had very little of the MES, only two of the ones I wanted! Luckily they had a Bossa Blue with a lot of blue and a Cha Cha Cha with quite a bit of the lime. You can't see the veining on Tropica that well, but it's equal lilac and silvery blue. The coral in Adored is brighter than it seems from the pictures, it's so pretty! I love Rio too, it's amazing as a bronzy blush when the two colours are mixed. I don't think the finish is too metallic to use it as a blush. I also have comparison pics with Ring of Saturn and Simmer.

They are completely different blushes on me! I think it's because my ROS has a lot of the light colour and the dark colour seems less pigmented than the dark in Simmer. Also the light colour in Simmer basically only adds a peachy sheen and doesn't alter the colour a lot.

Your MSFs are perfect!

I felt S and ROS were more similar on me, maybe because my S has more of the lighter colour.

I went to the store today and only got Rio! I am really impressed with that one

Love the beautiful natural sheen it gives, without chunky glitters. It is my favourite summer blush right now. I was really disappointed with Adored and Lust. Adored was nothing special to me, I owned lots of similair highlighters before. Lust had very prominent red glitter and little pigmentation on my skin. If you are an NC25 I would recommend Rio!

I got all of the msf, and I realized that lust swatches almost identical to petticoat. Not too crazy about my adored, it doesn't have enough peach on it, I wonder if I still can go back to my mac counter and change it. I hope my image shows, I have been trying to do it for a while, and it hasn't work.

They should let you, just explain you picked it up and it doesn't look like it has the amount of coral in it that you want. I know they let us do that here even if it looks like it's been used they still let us exchange because either way they have to destroy the product you take back even if you haven't touched it.

I felt with mine that it was less vibrant than petticoat and needed more layers to build.

Sigh, since my laptop is dead, I cannot share pics of my haul. I did take pics with my Ipad, but I cannot upload them. :( Anyways, I got my first ever MU application as a gift for the B2M fiasco in the UK. The MUA applied the beige part of simmer to my eyelid, a bit of the rose part on the outer half and bossa blue in the outer corner and crease. He had one that was 95% taupe. He used soft and gentle on my face, a little adored, peaches blush, bronze bronzer (the matte one). He used heroine l/l and midnight mambo along with Narcissus. It looked ok, but midnight mambo was not unique enough for me to buy it. He also used pro longwear NC 15. I had some bad reactions to it in the past, but the last couple of weeks I have been wearing it without a problem. I use 2 pumps for my face and neck. Perhaps 1/4 pump extra for my neck if I need more coverage on my face. The MUA used 4 or 5 pumps for my face only. In the lighting inside the store it looked fine, but after a few hours I saw my face and neck. I had the dreaded orange mask. Since he had used the 130 brush for application my nose also looked horribly patchy. Plw foundation only applies good on me with the beautyblender, otherwise it looks extremely patchy and cakey. Eeeeek. Orange face with a nice semi crisp line bordering my white neck. Can't blame the fellow. It looked fine inside and he did his best. However, when we came home I immediately washed my face and reapplied. My haul: Rio MSF 2x (1 more brown, 1 more pink), Lust MSF Adored MSF Simmer blush Fever Isle cremesheen ( reminds me more of Astral than Star Quality tbh) Narcissus 159 brush x2 good stuff I also got naked pigment, studio careblend powder, msfn, matchmaster, full coverage foundation, Harmony blush, charcoal brown e/s. Mostly stuff for my kit. At least the MUA got a nice commission :) he was really sweet and the rest of the make up looked good.

Speaking of Lust vs. Petticoat....can anyone swatch them side by side, please?

I would love to see this comparison!

I feel like MAC is really big on waaaaaay too much foundation (at least here in Aus!). I can't think of a single MAC counter I've been to where the artists weren't wearing foundation that was too dark and too much =/ But otherwise they are (mostly) great!

Here in Spain people aren't caked so much in makeup and it isn't as common to see people wearing a lot of makeup, only for going out perhaps. The MUA in the MAC stand were great and had very light foundation and suggested face and body only and no powder or anything at all. I even asked one day if I should have some powder as I can have quite a shiny T-zone but the MUA at the stand said I looked more natural and the all matte face was very much out of fashion! I'm very happy as previous experiences with other stands covered me in orange caked makeup. Recently I went to a Dior makeup session and I looked horribly orange and caked!! I think it depends on the country. The MAC MUA here in Spain are also really helpful and lovely, they compliment my limited eyeshadow skills and always seem to know what I want. I've heard they aren't so nice in the UK, when I went to Stanted they weren't as helpful but perhaps they were very busy, it was an airport stand after all.

S
immer as a blush (not quite as visible, I've never had a MAC blush so first I looked like a clown, did my best to even it out, lol), and Adored as highlight. I love Adored. <3

I think I'm NC15, but once at a course they gave me NW20. So no clue whether I'm NC or NW, maybe I'm just N. lol

Nice haul! :aok: Too bad about the foundation. One of the reasons I still haven't tried MAC foundations is because I'm scared they don't match me right. :eek:hboy:

Thanks! Well the foundation match was perfect. I use the same shade, but I guess due to overapplication it oxydized like crazy on me, creating the dreaded orange mask. Ugh, I hate that....
