I have over 30 brushes I think, so I use what is clean and don't wash every single one every day. Also I cheat by using one multiple times if I use the same product, like if I use Lightscapade 2-3 days in a row I use that brush those 3 days without washing, but only with that one product. (I only do my own makeup obviously if I'd use them on someone else I'd clean them every single time)
I'm sooo bad at cleaning my personal brushes, but i have multiple brushes of each, so that makes it easier. But i just cleaned my dirty kit brushes cuz i have wedding on saturday. It's one of my most dreaded things to do!

Come to think of it - deep plum would be a good shade for the Mineralize lipstick finish too. I loved the sound of the frost one in the Nudes & Metallics collection, but again - I have sworn off buying makeup I can't see in person and wild horses can't drag me to the local Pro store, so that was that.

If that Dazzle Plum existed, it would be MINE!

I have no trouble with Yung Rapunxel or Boyfriend Stealer, neither is patchy or sheer on me. IIRC, you are much warmer toned than i am, Liba, so we have slightly different preferences in our purples and violets. I passed on Prince Noir, as much as i looove the name, because it is a rather warm plum, and instead got Smoked Purple, which is cooler. I'm trying not to buy more plum lipsticks (especially not warm plums), and i have skipped quite a few (so proud of myself :) but i still can't pass up all of them. I got Dominate, the deep purple from the Nudes & Metallics collection. Disappointed that it isn't very metallic, but i do love the color - it leans a bit cool, which is my preference.

Really warm plums aren't very good on me - I find they're rather aging, BUT I do see that in the past couple of years, my skin tone has gotten more sallow (age + health = oh well) and I can get away with more warmth than I used to. I'm sorry Prince Noir was too warm - that one actually works really well on me, although Kittenish from the same collection was an absolute no-go. I always seem to pass on Smoked Purple since I have Cyber and I figure I can always snag a Smoked Purple another time. The cool plum that I adore is Potent Fig - I would go koo-koo if they brought out that shade in a matte or satin lipstick formula.

I DID break down and order Dominate just yesterday…looking forward to that one, since I really like MAC's newest frost formula.

I think the Dazzle finish is starting to become more accepted after Temperature Rising's lipsticks - those definitely sold well - so maybe we will see a beautiful Dazzle plum eventually!

Ugh washing them is so easy but so annoying as well. This one chick I knew claimed to take 5hrs washing maybe 20 brushes. Iono what on earth she was doing with them but if it really took that long I surely wouldn't wash weekly either lol.
That's ridiculous. Unless she's soaking them for hours or something, which, imo, is unnecessary. It should not take that long to wash 20 brushes.

This is soo sultry and perfect. Need! Now let's see how often I actually wear it... I have Dramatic Encounter from Glamour Daze and I looooove how it looks on but I can't sum up the courage to wear it yet!

She used to explain pretty frequently that she would overdo the full-face blush photos so that the color would be very clear. I'm just glad she does do full face photos at all, especially for lipsticks, even if the products often look quite different on her than they do on me. I still love Karen's blog more, since she's very entertaining, but I do check Temptalia pretty much daily, so she's doing something right! Maybe she's counting the drying time too? I would wash my brushes so much more often if they didn't take forever to dry. Yes, to Potent Fig in those finishes! And I'd love to know how you like Dominate. I like your taste in plummy purples. They seem to align with mine.
