MAC Early Buzz - News on Products for 2013

They might be reformulating it or trying to get people to buy it. PO should never disappear from the line, its a staple for soooo many people.

That's what I thought TOO! AND when I saw Chocolate Brown in the GOODBYES Section! Again, It's very confusing...
I certainly hope you're right... But just in case I grabbed it!

I noticed when I placed my Nudes & Metallics order that Pink Opal pigment is listed as Limited Edition... Does that mean they are getting ready to discontinue it? The other "Limited Edition" shades are Frozen White, Antique Green, and Chocolate Brown which at one time were ALL listed under the "GOODBYES" section... which now they are not. This is very confusing. I ordered a Pink Opal pigment jar just in case, but it's frustrating when MAC isn't clear with their products.

I just KNEW it! Thanks for confirming! I hate the guessing and uncertainty! I wonder if I should get ANOTHER backup? I have a pretty large sample and a new full size... Maybe I'll grab one more. Hmmm? Do you know why they're getting rid of PO? And is CB really going too then? It was in the GOODBYES, but then they took it out....

Pink opal is one of their best pigments. So sad it's being DCed I hope I can pick one up in store. I only have a sample.

I might have to pick up a PO too. I haven't tried it but i can image it would be lovely on cool tone skin as a highlight. But i just recently got a few pigments (i was a victim of the naked talk) and I hate the jars!!! I feel like the lid is never on right, i would be terrified to travel with these, tho i guess i could depot a bit into a twist cap container.

I do that to avoid a clumsy moment that leaks tons of pigment to a huge mess and lost forever. I don't trustthe new lids on the smaller ppigments containers either.flimsy which is dangerous in combination with my lack of coordination

But, but, but, WHY?!

Probably the same reason for getting rid of other things: -ingredient supply may be limited -low sales of the color -cost to make that certain is higher than the profit of selling I was just discussing this with the wedding party i was working on today. I was using Pink Bronze, Luminary, Enchantress, all the best colours that are DCd! Who knows why mac DCs the colours we adore? :dunno: And yes, CB is getting the boot too.

As a cheek/brow/tearduct highlight, shadow, on the shoulders/clavicles mixed with lotion, all over the lid with dark purples/blues in the crease/outer corner for an intense eye...it's truly a beautiful colour!

I guess all that makes sense, but I always hear raves about PO and CB... you'd think they'd find a way to keep popular colors around. And they aren't very vocal about it. If I hadn't noticed it was under the Limited Edition tab I would've never thought to ask and then it would've just been gone! It isn't even in the GOODBYES section. They should be better about informing their customers about what they are dc'ing so at least we have an opportunity to grab BU's. I've had a few HG items just disappear over the years. It's always sad to not know.
I guess I'll get a BU to my BU... rather have too much than not enough.

WOAH! I went to grab a PO BU... and it's GONE! Just like that! That's exactly what I'm talking about... Very disappointing. Never even put it in the goodbyes section. If I hadn't randomly clicked a tab I would've never known that a staple PERM product was just being taken away! Luckily I grabbed one when I saw that just in case... Wish I would've grabbed 2 now. I had a bad feeling since this has happened to me before. UGH. Poor PO!

It was Perm on US site too, until one day it very quietly got slipped under the "Limited Edition" tab. I almost didn't notice. Came on here to ask if anyone knew, and Erine confirmed it was being DC'd. Within ONE day, it's gone. SO, if you really love it, better grab one just in case that happens in the UK too. Maybe you'll get lucky and get to keep it, but I wouldn't take a chance. MAC was REALLY quiet about this one.

, so these quads are perfect for me. Amazingly, I don't have any of these shades yet. Not one of them.
