Sephora's Reigning Beauties: Ariel - The Little Mermaid

I have the previous two rollerballs and really like the scents. I'm going to get the Ariel one, but in stores. For some reason, I just don't want another package coming to my place lol

My mirror is scheduled to be delivered Monday!

I wish I got into the storybook palettes to collect them all. I knew I wasn't going to wear any of them, since I have so many eyeshadows already, so I figured I might as well collect the mirrors and the fragrances lol

Thank you! That was me. :encore: But I got the idea of using a pouch in general from Vampy. I decided to use my Disney pouch instead after my necklace broke. :crybaby: The pouch comes with the purchase of Disney Couture jewelry. It's meant to store your jewelry inside of it. Here's what my Little Mermaid necklace looked like. My bottle somehow cracked and got a hole in it, and most of the sand and little trinkets inside spilled out. I'm going to think of a way to repurpose it.

oh how pretty!!! makes me sad that it broke!! ;( I love Disney couture!! I. such a Disney freak lol my friend is actually in Disneyland right. LW and he had a huge list of stuff to grab me for the beautifully Disney collection. Can't wait to see what I get

On the subject of the other 2 palettes, I prefer Cinderella over Jasmine. I wear my Cinderella one so much, the colors in Jasmine I only wear once in a while bc they're so vibrant and I don't wear looks like that a lot. I mainly got it so I'd have the full set lol I still like Jasmine but if I had to pick I'd go w Cinderella!

no way u need the complete set lol I kno I wish I had got all three storybook palettes too but I skipped them. I wish I had got all three tho! I got all 3 mirrors and all 3 quads. I still hope they make more princess collections!!

I think my initial impulse in wanting cinderella and jasmine is dwindling down. The prices are just so offputting. And when i check on other sites like live journal or makeup alley they only want to swaps no sells so im just going to throw in the towel on this one

Yeah I would not pay over 100 for the palette I just checked there was a couple that were a auction style that were in the 80's still here's the listing number 111121478434 Idk how much ya really want them but between the Cinderella and the jasmine if you were gonna go with one I'd choose the jasmine I feel outta all three palettes its the most well built plus those eyeshadows are too gorgeous ;-)

yeah i chose jasmine over the cinderella for the opposite reason i always wear bolder looks and the colors in the jasmine palette are amazing for that!

also on the topic of the palettes

has anyone else been applying shadow to lets say the lower lash line and some of the eyeshadow get in your eye?

i was getting ready on Thursday using my ariel palette and some got in my eye and it BURNED like no other i think the color was "fins"

This hasn't happened to me with a shadow, but it did with a Chanel shadow stick. I got the Jade Shore stylo from the summer collection and it's GORGEOUS but I have to be very careful to only put it on my upper lid. The first time I used it it got in my waterline by accident (didn't put it there I was just putting it on the lower lashline) and just like you said it was BURNINGGGGG and my eye started gushing tears I had to run to the bathroom and wipe off all my makeup I couldn't get it off fast enough. I don't know if it's an allergy thing or just because of shimmer particles (you mentioned Fins and the Chanel pencil is sparkly too) because it's fine on my upper lid but I'll never but it on my lower again. I'm wondering if it's just me though because the Volume de Chanel mascara also made my eyes really burn

and i think i might have been because of the shimmer in fins im not really sure why and i had my whole face on and just had to do my lower lash line and mascara so i had to live though the BURNING

haha.... kinda scared to use that color by my lower lashline again

^ I wouldn't risk it, the painfulness isn't worth it lol. What I do for the pencil is find a shadow similar in color and use that on the lower lash line instead

If it makes you feel better they super padded my order with 3 thick layers of packing paper....didn't seem like there was much room for movement

yeah i was thinking of putting it on my brush and maybe wetting it with some fix+ to make sure it wont be all powdery then apply it if i do try it under my eyes again or also maybe using a sticky base under my eye and patting it on unlike last time i was sweeping it on under my eye

My mirror is coming on Monday and I'm really excited for it! I hate that I missed out on the Cinderella mirror and palette. I had the chance to get the Jasmine mirror, but I prefer silver to gold.

Just want to say THANK YOU to Cartoonchic for her service and proud to say that I was her first client. She saved me major stress. After stalking and missing out twice on the mirror I was bummed that I was not going to be able to do that for a couple of days. I have the other two mirrors and really wanted this one also. She's magic guys. I never received the VIB email as always. I also did the "email me when in stock" for the large palette thinking the mirror might release when it restocked. I hope Sephora realizes the release of this collection was a mess and not repeat it.

My mirror came! UPS guy came earlier than usual at 10:30. It's gorgeous!! I'm so sad they are stopping at Ariel. This is a beautiful mirror nonetheless and I'm happy I finally got it!
