Hey Ladies...

Ya'll are SERIOUSLY bad for my wallet!
lol.gif
I just looked at that picture of the powders in real life and if those are the true colors (also taking into consideration darkening/oxidation on oily types like me), then they look to run a little dark? I looked at the videos and they did not help me at ALL. The lighting in those videos are off.

I ordered two of them because the yellow toned ones look too light and the red toned ones look too dark. I'm yellow, but can get reddish around the edges in the summer. I'm not going to reveal which colors yet because I have a theory. But I'm a teensy bit annoyed that I had to order two (like the girl who had to get 60 and 70). They are too expensive not to match perfectly imo.
I saw these Lord & Taylor on Sunday. I didn't try them. I wasn't sure of a color either. I was thinking 40 but I think Sabrina from The Beauty Look Book wears that shade and I'm a lot darker than her and then the darker shades looked too red. I figured I'd wait for an event to try it. But I can't wait to see how you like it. I'm still not clear on how these are used. Are they bronzers or what?

I love 70 because you get such immediate color payoff. They give a hint of color. Blends very easily. And it's.  And 70 isn't too orange, too yellow or too red. Just right.  It Blends very easily. And it's buildable to an extent. .  Its more useable than bronze universal IMHO, which has a bronze-orange hue.  This looks super natural; very skinlike. Don't have any comments regarding oxidization. Someone compared they to skinfinish natural, but I like Les Beige more. The texture and application is better.
I tried them on at C and I am def going to do 70 as well! call me crazy but I thought 50 might be better for darker skin?!?! I can def say its not a foundation but setting powder yes - as for bronzer it sort of is but it is so sheer that it's not quite a full bronzer, def great for contour and perhaps a bronzer for a slight summer glow in winter?!? I was hoping I would not have to buy a bronzer as well so I have held off all summer using my G terracotta hitting pan, will have to play with 70 when it is in my paws!! I used with soleil make up base with 70 and it was perfect for me together.... I found a video where she has 4 shades, on my phone now but will post it soon.... also saw they do have mini samples in 10,20 + 40 thus far - def ask your SA as they are around!!

Hi Icecaramellatte! Based on what I've read the powders can be used as bronzers or all-over face powders---the color that you select will likely dictate its use.

I ordered blindly and opted for # 70. I'm prepared to use it for either a bronzer or face powder, whichever works out based on the shade and how it matches me.

Did you try it yet?

yes! been playing non stop! was scared to use the white marshmellow kabuki brush at first!

i used it with no foundation, bronze universal make up base, destiny cream blush with 70 on top - loved it! will try to do a swatch of the 3 together and post!

i also have the baby les beiges in 10 + 40 and i used 40 in a T shape, they showed me in store - the lighter one brings out the glow of the darker one by almost creating an illusion effect...

the powder is sooooo sheer, but it def has this glow effect that is hard to capture on video or pics! here is a quick pic before i used brush!

Biggest tease ever today! Spotted the display in Macy's contemplated which shade was right for me, even let an MUA have input and then she tells me it's not for sale now. Aaaahhh!! Damn. I've come to the conclusion #60 is my color. It's not as dark as I expected and #40 seems a bit too light. I am so impressed by the way they feel and what they did to my hand. Smoothes it out and my skin did have a glow. I want to somehow bathe in this powder. I gotta have it. If it's as awesome as I think I will buy one of the two lightest shades as a highlighter (MUA put that idea into my head and I like it :sneaky:). Also went to Lord and Taylor only to find that they only had the display, too. :getyou:

Deal! Even after I cleaned my hand I kept rubbing it because it was still so smooth. I even love the brush and I don't care how useful it is. It just looks great.
