.....OMG
Cannot wait to see your swatches of Provocative
I know, it's ridiculous! Just wait 3 months and you can buy it in the shops for half the price! Doh!
LOL! Been there done that. Mostly because of being curious, not being able to wait and if you have a blog, to show them around to other enthusiast who are waiting as eagerly as you do ;-))Indeed....I don' t get why people spend that much money on stuff that has not even been released! They still have many chances to get it for retail price.
.....I received Madame Rougit today
Finally got to meet the collection today! I could not get Madame Rougit to swatch well and what I saw was a bit too orange/ apricot against my skin. Madame Batifole and Flirte are both exactly what I wanted them to be and despite its similarity to Rouge Sensuel, I think Flirte will be coming home with me soon. Like Two Rock a surprising amount, but it's lower down on the list.

Happy for you Macina ! I'll pick it up as soon as it is available. Today I purchased M.A.C pressed pigment in Midnight and I was able to test Armani lipstick in 410 ( the collection will be available within a fortnight ), such a gorgeous red
Madame Rougit is very classy, definitely a must-have !
I totally agree, I have some margin when it comes to presales, I can pay like 20% more but it is simply not worth it if it is double the price and comes with many disadvantages (most of the time you can't return it back and you can never see it in person before you buy etc.)Ok, I can defnitely understand that! I am always VERY impatient too and it is indeed VERY hard to wait until the collections come out :sigh: And I would pay a bit (!!!!) more too but double the price??? -> :nope:

I talk to the manager at shoppers a week ago (at Place Ville-Marie Montreal) and she was pretty pessimistic, (and kind of mad) of Guerlain decision to stop selling their product at Shoppers. Who knows maybe their contract ending Jan 2013, till then they will keep sending stuff? For those of you in Canada, you might want to keep an eye out at Shoppers Drug Mart. Supposedly this year, they stopped getting the new collections, just permanent items, however I went to a Shoppers today and not only did they have the two-shade palettes in a nifty new add-on of the display, they also had everything else. And there's a promotion going on where you get 20x the Optimum points if you spend $50 or more on cosmetics (including skin care).
I'm not sure what this means in terms of what SDM will get and what they won't. It'll be interesting to see what happens now that they've been bought by Loblaws, who also own Holt Renfrew. Will they start dividing lines between chains? Or will you get partial collections at SDM and the full collections at HR? Or will it depend on whether or not there's a Holt's in the area?
I can see her point, especially with Murale right next door. I'm sure they did well on cosmetic sales there, especially when they had those 20x the point deals on. I'm not sure why the collection popped up at this one store (Cote des Neiges and Queen Mary by the way), if it was a mistake or if Guerlain has started to change their minds.I talk to the manager at shoppers a week ago (at Place Ville-Marie Montreal) and she was pretty pessimistic, (and kind of mad) of Guerlain decision to stop selling their product at Shoppers.
