Dior Cosmetics Discussion

eh I don't know... I don't really wear either orange or blue eyeshadow. I cannot imagine paying that much for a 100 pots of those shades much less 3. That is totally crazy. But maybe it is just you know my dislike of orange speaking. Now if it were plum and oh say 15 different shades maybe ;~/

I haven't seen either palette in Vancouver yet. The Dior counter at the Bay didn't seem to know what I was talking about when I asked about the Constellation palette today.
I finally received a phone call from Shoppers in Ottawa. Originally, I had seen the Bonne Etoile palette tester and put my name on the list to purchase one when it was available. I also asked about the Constellation palette and put my name down on that one too if they were going to get it. Well, the lady called and informed me they are not getting the Constellation palette at the Shoppers here and all of the Bonne Etoile palettes have been sold before being put out. I guess I'll have to live vicariously through you guys! More money for the new Illamasqua collection when it arrives I guess!

EDIT:
I went back to The Bay and Shoppers today to see the single cream shadows. I picked up two from Shoppers; Aventure and Hypnotique and one of the cream shadows from The Bay; Chimere. Much to my surprise, they had Bonne Etoile there so I picked that up as well. It's gorgeous! I don't normally wear any type of blue eyeshadows but I couldn't help it, it was too pretty to pass up. Only disappointment, all of the pans in the 5 couleurs move and can be popped out, the glue is not hard. I'll just have to pick up some crazy glue to make sure they don't pop out during travel (I'm too lazy to walk back to The Bay to exchange it). The SA at The Bay told me also that Constellation would not be coming to Canada, sigh.

My pans were loose too. I thought it was just a bad one I got. Hmm, not pleased with it because we paid a lot for the palette!

I am going to ask at Holt Renfrew just to be sure because they had the recent Nars Nordstroms palette, and it was exclusive in Canada to Holt Renfrew. So I'm wondering if Holts generally gets the Nordstroms exclusives. Worth a shot, anyway!

Here are reviews on 2 of the new blushes:

New Red on magimania.com:
http://www.magi-mania.de/dior-new-red-diorblush-889-rouge-review/

And Miss Pink on innenaussen.com:
http://www.innenaussen.com/2013/08/...6-bonne-aventure-diorblush-829-miss-pink.html

After seeing these I went ahead and ordered both blushes and I really like them!

Fortunatly my Miss Pink is not as powdery as the one shown in the review.
But I agree with her that the color is very light and should be better for people with very pale skin like me.
I have no problems with it showing up on my skin tone. But it shows up as soft pink on me and so I guess
that it might not show up on deeper skin tones.

No, I went in yesterday, and Holts said they aren't getting Constellation, so I guess nobody is going to have it in Canada. And Bonne Etoile came and went already. They only received 5 of them, which isn't much for downtown Vancouver!

Thank you! They are so pretty. I'm getting new red for sure.

The Bonne Etoile is available through the Bay online store - and shipping is free if you pay with any HBC tender. I am thinking of getting it this way.

Is Hypnotique the kinda plum base shade? I swatched these yesterday but couldn't read the name on the bottom of that one. I bought Millenium - gorgeous
Yeah, Hypnotique is the middle swatch. It's not as plummy when you swatch it as it is in the pan unfortunately. But, it's still gorgeous on the lids. I applied MACs Cranberry over it in the outer half of the lid and MAC Jest on the inner half. My husband actually complimented me on my eye makeup that day asking what I was wearing because it looked "gorgeous today". haha. I also tried that combination with Chimere as a base which you would think would look better since it's that pink base, but I actually liked Hypnotique more, it popped. Do you love Millenium? Is it a must have? I have been lusting over Meteore and the lipstick Bonne Aventure.

Aww, so sweet what Hubby said - that is ALWAYS touching! I'm probably going to get that one next.
I just ordered Millenium from NM yesterday, so it will be a few days until I get it. I thought it was beautiful in person. I also really really like Meteore too & will end up with it as well.
Thanks for all of your pics & info dear!

I got to swatched all the Fusion Mono eyeshadows. I like Meteore, Chimere and Etoile and nearly walked away with one of them. The eyeshadows feel like their new cream blushes, mousse-like and plush.

Yes in a way but Chanel Illusions d'Ombre are much more pigmented. The Dior ones are smooth and easy. to apply but they crease I think.
