MAC Prolongwear Collection (September 5, 2013)

Does anyone know if there's a significant difference between Perky and Coral Crepe? I have CC and it's getting a little dry but other than that, it's fine. I also have the coral MUFE Aqua Cream (don't think this one is "eye approved" though, as I mostly wear it on the lips). Just not certain I "NEED" Perky, even though that RARELY stops me from purchasing. Just trying to determine if the colors are different enough to merit having both. ????

Does anyone else have problems with the Beautezine site? Most of the time I click on a link I get an error message. I'm leaning towards Layin Low, but I'm not sure how it would look on my skintone. If I can't decide which one to get I think I might skip them all and get Groundwork instead, it has been on my to get list forever. 

I have the same problem, so annoying! Groundwork had been on my list for ages too. But after Painterly creased on me no matter what I tried, I'm afraid to try other cream paint pots. :meh:

Did you try it with a primer underneath and maybe also shadow on top?

Yep. Both at the same time. Creased like hell. So I'm like, maaaaybe the other cream pp are different. But most likely they aren't. :sigh:

Maybe you can try to just put them on the lid and not up in the crease and have a primer underneath?

That is so weird, I never use primer and Paint Pots have lasted more than 24 hours on me without budging. Have you tried any other cream eyeshadows and had luck with them?

Groundwork had been on my list for ages too. But after Painterly creased on me no matter what I tried, I'm afraid to try other cream paint pots.

I didn't have any problems with paint pots creasing on me so far. I just found Painterly kind of dry, and I felt like it made my lids look a little bit crinkly, lol. So I think I prefer the paint pots with some sheen or shimmer to them, I don't have that kind of issue with those.

Perky is pinker and less intense than CC. Both are gorgeous though--I'd recommend both!

Hey, guys.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a brush to use with paint pots? At the moment, I only have Bare Study, which I use as a base and apply all over my lid right up to my brows with my finger. I have monolid eyes and I apply powder products up to where the crease 'should' be, using first the flat side of a 239 and then the tip to blend and push the shadow into the line of my eye socket, and then further blend it out with a 217. I think the result looks pretty natural and overall I'm happy with it, but I've not yet had the courage to try a cream eyeshadow as anything but a primer. I'm looking for a brush for paint pots (especially as there are so many in this collection that I want) which will allow me to blend out the edges so it doesn't look weird. With no crease to conceal the edges of the colour, I'm a bit worried that a less-than-stellar brush could leave it looking scruffy. Thanks.

I like to use the 242. I figured out how much product I need on the brush by trial and error and with the right amount it's easy to blend it without the colour going up too high.

No, only shimmery. I do have one cream Color Tattoo but I haven't tried it out yet.

I don't have an issue with shimmery paintpots, sometimes they do crease but nothing a primer won't fix. But I have to say, I prefer Maybelline color tattoo's and Benefit creaseless cream eyeshadows.

I'd recommend the 242, as a synthetic brush is best with creme products. It's stiff enough to blend out the edge. I'd also suggest only using the paint pot on your lid, and not all the way up to your brow, especially if you're using bare study, as it has shimmer. If you were using a matte paint pot, you'd be ok to take it all the way up to your brow, but with shimmer, you're unable to vary the textures that are ideal to create depth, especially since you don't have a crease for that extra placement of shadow texture (which can work in your favour you lucky duck!!!).
