Quick question about depotting the lipsticks, If I heat the lipsticks will that change the finish?

No. But with frosts, the shimmers will separate and settle into one group lol

I got my eyeshadow insert today!! Tomorrow I get my blush insert!

To depot after popping the the the shadow part from the pot. I then turn the shadow part upside down on a hand towel and use a blow dryer. I don't keep it pointed on it long enough to melt the pastic. In fact most of the time I can put that part now without pan back in the pot and snap back shut.

I keep the dryer about 6 to 8 inches from it. I usually hold it facing on it for a bit & then hold the dryer up in the air so it isn't constant heat to prevent melting. After about 10 to 15 seconds I turn off the dryer and check to see if it has loosened enough to get out easily. If not I give it more heat a little at a time. Then I use a very thin exacto knife around the edges of the pan to make sure it will come out without pressure or if it needs a bit more heat. When it's ready it comes right out. I've it done this countless times and have only had one e/s chip because my hand slipped.

I lay it back on the towel upside down again. I start on a another one. I want it to cool off a bit because I'm afraid some of the shadow will come out if it's too hot. It may not but that's just how I do it. And then I stick a round magnet on the back I bought off ebay. I then use the dryer again to heat the label and it peels right off and stick it right away on the magnet. It sounds like a lot of time but it isn't. In fact it takes very little time.

If I need to remove glue or any type of adhesive on basically anything I use alcohol. TJ Maxx sticks the price tag right on the glass of a picture frame. Again I use a hair dryer peel it off and if there is any remaining stickies I use alcohol.

Just to throw out there for other items. A couple of years ago I was buying a crystal vase at Dillards for a gift and the one I fell in love with was the last one with a sticker price tag on the bottom. The sales lady got most of it off. I told her I would use alcohol at home to get the rest off. She said she used lighter fluid to get glue off most things even crystal. I bought some and it beats alcohol timewise any day. Of course I'd never use it on makeup.

You don't have any MAC shadows? Or did you mean you don't have any refills?

I've never even heard of the alcohol method! I've always just used my straightener

Same here. I had no clue about the alcohol & I think that might even be a better route

I get overwhelmed when I go on the Mac site, what are the must-haves? (In there so far - Bisque, Espresso, Satin Taupe, Divine Decadence. Vex could arguably move over too)
