RiRi Hearts MAC Fall Collection (October 3, 2013)

Yeah I love ya'll...I really do, but I don't have it in me to play catch up lol. I was on the road when the release happened so I didn't even bother visiting the website. I think MAC secretly enjoys the hysteria that the waiting room creates

Just like with the RiRi Summer clusterf*ck, MAC is probably going to brag about the "power of social media." Well, MAC, you are good at building hype, but your waiting room makes your technical resources look pretty pathetic.

After I missed out on Playing Koi and explored every avenue to buying it legitimately, I lost my faith in MAC. They were kind and gave me a $50 credit but I've ne'er really been the same since ::: limp limp:::

Do you have a CCO near you? I just bought Playing Koi at a CCO - bought the last 2 they had. The sales lady told me they get them in frequently. Only $10.50 for each lipstick too!!

I wonder if there will be announcement for what time the launch on department store websites will start. I don't want to give up just yet. I also work and have class Wednesday and Thusday, so this could be another case of serious disappointment.

I was just looking at the Rih Rih stuff I've gotten my hands on and I think the pieces go together better than I imagined before the release. Next day out I'm going wear HK and WTC with the MUFE gloss that matches it. I think those would look nice with the Leopard Luxe quad (one of my favorites). I was playing with my thebalm highlighter and applying it the way the MUA applied Diamonds on me and it makes me feel like I don't have to stress if I don't get Diamonds. Having said that, I will try my best to get it because I like the fact that it's a cream (good for my dry skin) and it has a slight taupey/silver iridescence to it on my skin whereas theblam highlighter is a light frosty gold. I just wish we didn't have to wait two days for the online dept store releases. I am so impatient.

Out of curiosity (plus I decided that I wanted the nude ls) I entered the waiting room at 9:03 am PST. I was at work, so I could not check on it regularly. At noon I was still in the waiting room, and most of the "hot" items had sold out (according to what I read on this site). I finally was able to view the collection at 1:30 pm. This process makes absolutely no sense.

I walked around with the swatch on my hand & it was such a gorgeous peachy pink shade with just a tad of a twinkle in the sunlight.

Lol don't feel bad. My mom lives in Trinidad & Tobago and they have a MAC store there I was surprised when she offered to go for me just to pick up TTT l/s if I don't get it.

No, I thought she looked pretty but I was pretty meh about it. I also think they went a bit over board with the Photoshop on it.

I think the picture is VERY unflattering. Rihanna is BEAUTIFUL.. In that picture, she just looks "blah". It actually doesn't really look like her.. strange.

Why do I feel like they just slapped this campaign together? With the re-promotes of a lot of products..and the boring advertisement -- is just seems like they didn't invest much creativity in this endeavor.

The packaging is still utterly amazing and beautiful though!

I agree, it almost looks like Tyra Banks done up like Rihanna and overly photo shopped.
