And Private Party with the gloss looks exactly like the promo photo on me - that has GOT to be a first for me! It'll look fabulous on everyone. Which MES did you get? I'm glad to meet a fellow Divine Night MES enthusiast - I couldn't make up my mind at all and put them all on hold, that's how perfect they were for me. I only bought 2 MES from Tropical Taboo, too. I don't always buy 'em all.


Hahahaha, you've got me laughing at how you posted and talked your own self into a purchase!!!! But everyone should be like you - you saw the stuff in person, thought about it and then finally decided to buy! I'm NC15 too and I am going to wear all 3 of them proudly!

I didn't get any of the MES's as I seem to buy single shadows and throw them in a drawer and never use them but I am quite tempted. I think i'm going to limit myself to 2 of them but I want to go back and see them in person again. I've never liked so many MES's before. Usually each collection there was one or two that caught my eye only. This one i'm torn. My MAC girl is holding 4 of them for me at moment. Until Dawn, Past Midnight, Exquisite Ego, and Tonight's Temptation which is soooooooooo outside the box for me but swatched i was

. I'm unsure what I will end up with. I'm having a baby in 3 weeks and trying to be practical on what I will actually wear in the next few months.

and yes, i'm my own enabler LOL Happens every time. I pre-ordered this morning but decided to buy online as it's easier so i'm going to call and cancel tomorrow. good thing they don't charge until they ship LOL I just wanted it faster

In total I did end up with 2 of the 3 blushes, PP l/s, FFF l/s, and YGI c/s. I really liked STBS but too shimmery for me and made my cheeks look dirty. I loved COA but why why why the yellowy gold, so i passed on those. what did you end up with?? which MES's?

My dad's in the hospital and I haven't seen a lot of swatches so I just picked a few items that I thought I would like. i don't know if I'll get to a counter this week, so at least I'll have something!

From the pictures you've posted, you seem a little more on the NW side - actually you have the sort of skin I had when I was younger - I was just totally white/neutral.

The rule of thumb I use is that the more yellow your skin, the more dirty cast to the color will come out and the more red, the more pink and clear color cast will come out BUT the darker your skin and lips are, the lighter the color will look (which also accentuates the cooler, bluer aspect) and the paler your skin, the darker (which is also the redder and browner). It's like a matrix, so you factor all four together. This is the color theory behind it. It sounds complicated, but it isn't really - just hard to describe with words. We'd have to do exercises where you mix colors in increments, like red + exactly half the amount of blue and go up and down in increments, then do the same with just white and black, then do 2 colors + white, 2 colors + black, color + the compliment of the color, etc. etc. I guarantee a day of that stuff and it gets burned into your brain!

I've always felt cooler colors always looked better on me. And I def have a yellow undertone. But when I'd go into MAC I'd always be matched NC. But I don't wear MAC foundation anymore. I wear MUFE HD 117 is the perfect match (its for pale skin with yellow undertones)
So am I pretty much neutral? Does that mean I can wear NC and NW? Or am I considered a NW? Thanks again girl!

I'm pretty content with my two lippies. But will try and see more at the counter.

It was kind of like By Design, but with more white gold frost. However, it's more like the old frosts that are kind of dry and frosty looking, instead of the new frosts like Warm Companion and By Design, which look metallically moist and lush. It looked really nice over PFP and PP but I've gotta say - not a must buy. You should hold off and get Smash Hit from Indulge!!!!

Where can I get Smash Hit? If there was a restock, I missed it.

I'm dying for a swatch of Private Party Cremesheen Glass, but nobody seems to have it yet. So far, I bought You've Got It and Private Party Lipsticks, and I think I'll order Prepare For Please and Flair For Finery from another site once they are up. Still not 100% sure about everything else.

I'm not Liba but I do wear 117 in MUFE HD and I definately CAN NOT wear nw it's way off on me I really don't wear any mac foundations just because none if then are my favorite, at the moment in stuck on nars sheer glow in gobi, my point is I'm super yellow and wear the same foundation as you so I'm guessing you're not neutral at all

I'm NC30-35. thanks for the compliment, I always feel like my swatches aren't all that great. I definitely haven't mastered the straight line concept.. Lol To everyone who thanked me for the swatches: it was nothing! Seriously, I'm just happy to be able to contribute.
